Yeah.... I also saw that at the NIFFF. I don't want to be mean, since it's one of those film truly made on a shoestring budget that I am sure is a labor of love, but... let's just say that back in the '90s a group of people I know spent a week-end in a cabin and for shit giggles, since they had a camcorder around, they shot an improvised horror movie in one evening. With Obex, we are at about the same level of quality.

Started off fresh. The ending message meant well, but was hamfisted and felt the entire movie was a waste of time at that point.

Over 40 minutes of the movie are just him sitting in his house doing nothing.
"your dog died because you played video games" just wasn't intriguing enough of a meta theme because it's simply nonsense.
Otherwise some good 80's nostalgia. But can't give it a recommend based on the wannabe art house weak theme.

Critics loved it, but the script had to be written by a woman or Gamergate ally who hates video games. It all fell apart and the buildup was for an anti-video game activist Message.
