Yeah, it's a real thing and any time there is a natural disaster it's the first thing you hear about on the news. Waffle House never closes.

Well I hope the pay on this is stellar.

She is turning down AAA starring roles over X-men scheduling.

Michael Mann asked her to do Heat 2.

“This is something that I really love and want to continue doing, but of course that’s going to take time. I want people to take that time to trust that I have that capability. I also want to fall on my face publicly and have something that people don’t like, [but] maybe I do.”

Taking another B movie as a breakout star isn't a good move-- but it sounds like this waffle movie is her "falling on her face" that she was going for.

Michael Mann is still better than Christopher Nolan.
Overall or recently?

It's like 5 or 6 posts up - she's doing Waffle House Index instead of Heat 2

I'm also far too jaded by sequel culture to think Heat 2 will be anything but trash, but I'm open to being proven wrong.

Michael Mann is a superior director to Christopher Nolan. Heat 2 will probably be awesome. He doesn't make bad movies it might just be how you rank his movies based upon your own personal preferences. The first Heat though is a super high bar, but I have faith in the man that if he's going to make a second one he knows what he's competing against, and I think he's going to blow the doors off of everything.

Not a lot of directors out there that you can just trust their films are going to be top notch, but he's easily one of them.
