There's definitely some copying/homage type shit, but it's definitely INFLUENCED by Pokemon so like, yeah? I don't understand. The best is the Grizzbolt and Electabuzz comparison when it's obviously influenced by My Neighbor Totoro.

All of this is mostly mad fanbois that Pokemon has had a decade to make this game and didn't. They're not suing these guys either because they know it's all murky copycat stuff they'd never win.

The most important thing this could do with Nintendo is to make them do something bigger and better with their Pokemon IP to actually compete with this game rather than quash it.

Whether they sue them is very much "we'll see" at this point, as the investigation has only JUST begun. I know people have been in-game having fun for more than 2 days it's been under investigation for-- so it's easy to lose sight of that fact.

Simply put, this was only recently brought to their attention. Sit tight.

Nintendo would fare better just making a better game. This game will be half dead like every other early access survival game in a year or less.

The datamined art assets (none of which I posted for reference) are more problematic.

Only recently have dataminers been finding things that could potentially cause problems if any suit is brought-- so what fruit of any investigation could there have been when there is a hell of a lot more datamining that needs to take place? But please come on with more cope just because you like the game.

They aren't evaluating whether or not they can sue, they're evaluating whether it's worth the negative publicity to smother devs under litigation that they A) probably cant afford to fight and B) probably cant address while also continuing to develop the game.
