Considering i'm on plasteel, I can't exactly get a mechanical bow any time soon...

Skill books are hard to come by, but the game is trying to get you to use the breeding / catching mechanics to get better pals with better passives and condense them.

I did condense all the ones I had from catching 5s as I was progressing the other day and it jumped my expedition power up to like 475k or something. Still haven't done any breeding stuff. Could go on a massive catching grind to condense some 2star/3star/4star of the lower level pals since I could grind the stuff to make large amounts of giga/hyper spheres pretty quickly to get high rates and make it not a super long grind. Will see how the next couple days leave me feeling. The grind is less engaging than Ark's grind (no scouring the world for high base levels, setting up tame traps, looking for cool color combos and whatnot) so I dunno if i'm gonna stay interested long enough to slowly trudge through the crafting grind to get from plasteel to soralite and a proper base.

Considering Panthalus is literally the last thing before the world tree, maybe you shouldn't be fighting him yet.
