This show has its problems but it's nothing like you are suggesting. You're even worked up over a man, who has raised 2 kids, teaching a pregnant woman in a post apocalyptic world who has no experience and had no frame of reference because her own mother wasn't a mother, how to care for a baby. And then not abandoning the fucking baby in some weird post apocalyptic "abortion". You are claiming this is "woke" writing?

Anyone here can google “paradise season 2 sucks” and see for themselves everything I’m talking about is true. Even AI is summarizing it the same way. The only way you like season 2 is if you are a progressive liberal about ready to head out to the No Kings protest - if that’s the case you’ll more than likely love it. And hey, if that’s what you think is good entertainment all the fucking power to you man.

Tomorrow is the season finale and for me and my wife it’s the series finale. 80% cannot even get through half this season and already bugged out.

The only way this shit gets turned on again is if I hear the planet starts it’s greenhouse effect to match Venus and wipes out all these retards. That would be a fun watch.

And this coming from a guy who LOVED season 1.

I dunno man, the "girl power" stuff was pretty blatant to me. If not for Link being a white male, every single one is either painted as a moron or piece of shit. I mean, sure, you can overlook it, but you can't deny it.

The only real "girl power" character in the show is ugly afro chick and maybe the 2 daughters.

The other women in power are lying, conniving and psychotic. Sinatra and Jane, who are probably the worst characters on the show, are not being portrayed in a positive light.

The real tell will be if boy genius ends up getting bested by Sinatra or Jane. If that happens then, meh.

In episode 6 alone we had:

- a male agent with like 1 minute of screentime is called a misogynist and incel for some reason that is never explained, before being humiliated by a girl

- their boss - a black woman, of course - says she lost the promotion the "incel" got because she doesn't have a dick

- the aforementioned girl cuts his dick off and takes it in a bag to the black boss

- same girl goes to negotiate alone with a bunch of armed men and somehow gets what she wanted, after dominating one of them

- a black female agent helps two dumb white guys escape from an underground prison knocking out male guards who are clearly bigger and stronger. Then she spits out a feminist statement that she was not Marsden's side piece

It's all so absurd and heavy handed that I had to check the writer and haha, google for yourselves the name Nadra Widatalla. It's unbelievable how this still gets a pass and a decent show was ruined.

My man, the only thing that has really changed this season from the first is the introduction of the outside world. The show hasn't had some major tone shift in writing.

At least tell me the part where Jane is in interrogation resistance training, going through what everyone else would go through, and then her black female boss being passed up on a promotion because he has a dick (literally the lines of the show) and is all of a sudden the trainer is an Incel and misogynist (Why? No one knows) then she goes to cut off his dick and hand it to her in a sack….

At least give me that then out of all the other shining examples before I head out for the bar, outside everything else including the tranny, that something is “a miss”.

The reveal at the end of season 2 was pretty lame IMO and is gonna ruin the show for me. Season 2 was such a departure from season 1 it felt like a different show. Ill watch season 3 to see how it ends but not excited for it.

Yeah, feels like the show could've just been a self contained "end of the world apocalypse scenario" but instead they decided to go after a LOST type "anything is possible" show.

Anyway, I hate shows with lazy writing. Some examples from the finale are, how prior to doing the lockdown, they needed all 20+ people in the room to get consensus. Suddenly shit's hitting the fan for real, and so the "head psychologist" (I guess?) takes charge and is now the one making the decisions, with just token asian guy giving his nod of approval that I guess we don't need consensus anymore, and this person is clearly the most qualified to call for exodus.

Also enjoyed how the outsiders are about to siege the place, and instead of train lady being like "hey, this dude literally was the head of secret service and lived there for years, maybe I should get him to talk to our leaders before they siege the place," they instead just...don't give a shit I guess?

Or how everyone is evacuating but decided to pack a bunch of luggage for reasons. Or how X and his wife decide to go to their house (???) for some reason, when everyone is evacuating. Because I guess they think their own children would just say fuck it and stay in the house during a mandatory evacuation? Also, why weren't they looking at the house of the two guys that X put in charge of his kids? And where are those worthless guardians anyway?

And my favorite...why the hell is the scaffolding falling towards the end there? Did the meltdown somehow cause the welds on that shit to fail? Was it just held up there by fishing line?

I know it sounds nitpicky, but the whole episode I have to suspend my disbelief because of all the retarded shit they add for "drama" but instead just destroys the world they spent all this time building up.

That finale was a rushed mess. The pacing went from 0 to 10,000 this season. Started off kind of slow with world building, introducing the outside world and what happened, then... HAHAHA FUCK YOU EVERYTHING IS FUCKED
