Well they'll likely have one ascendancy that's just transformations which is probably going to play like a pure melee but with different toggled modes(big slow aoe bear, fast attack wolf kind of shit I'd assume). Otherwise potentially a Templar thing.

Tempted to try this again. I wonder if they fixed the PC freezing issue. I was having a lot of fun until my PC froze twice but I had only just unlocked maps which apparently sucked. After the second freeze and the thousand page bugfix posts on their website I decided a game wasn't worth ruining my rig for.

My shit ran perfect. 140+FPS and not one crash through the 60+ hours I played it last league. Man, if they fix up the end game this will be THE ARPG.

Mine ran perfect until it didn't. The performance was never a problem, it was this russian roulette bug where your processors would get locked at 100% usage and your pc would just freeze. I saw there were all kinds of workarounds for it but being my rig was new I had no desire to guinea pig it for a game. I guess you could set the dedicated processors for the game to 1 less than your max and some people were sucessful with it. I'm really surprised it didn't get more attention, there were 2 dedicated threads on the bug forum that were orders of magnitude larger than all the other threads at one point.

So how gay was the TOTA mechanic for those that played it in POE1? Assuming it is coming for the last ascension method, was it any good for farming?

It was pretty gay unless you made a build specifically for it. I assume a lot will change for POE2 including the entire reward structure so who knows how it will stack up to farming sekhema or trials until people actually get into it and test it.

I liked it but it's true that it did encourage you to make a build specifically for it. I did it on zero defense spell totems. After a certain rating every single thing was a one-shot so I didn't have a lot of options. The rewards were fine with it being the only way to obtain the newly introduced tattoos.
It was not particularly popular, unpopular or memorable as far as leagues go.
