I'm all in on stormweaver I think. +2 limits and giga juiced remnants is gonna make some huuuuuuge firestorms/volcanos.

Firestorm was already quite good but was only limited by the per-target cap. Now they've given it like 300% more damage but cut the frequency in half, so you should rarely ever run in to that cap while still doing a ton more damage overall.

Going to go poison pathfinder and transition the pathfinder into a Druid if my suspicions are correct and that ends up being the best ascendancy for shape shifting talismans other wise I’ll do a Druid then try the new sorc ascendancy with firestorm because I love fire builds then be done with the season.

Reminded myself how much I absolutely do not like this game. rolled around for 2 minutes just to kill a pack of white wolves, first zone. Uninstalled again, lol. This game is just not for me. Have fun boys.

For all the cool stuff in the trailer, release info and game play footage I still think league starts are terrible. You're so fucking weak endlessly chasing the next weapon upgrade.

There is a lot of cool stuff in this game, and honestly it already feels more complicated (the gameplay + supports + tree + ascendancies, not the league mechanics) than poe1.

I just really don't like actually playing the game.

Because at the base level its just not fun. It doesnt feel cool to do abilities like PoE, it doesnt feel fun to kill monster like D4, its slow, and you have to do a million things to line up damage.

I was watching Ben play druid. He was getting chain stunned trying to do a bear slam. How is that fun? They got a million things like that.

The first thing I did was nearly get murdered trying to auto those little porcupine dudes catching a full volley to the face. I gave up on trying to melee shit right after the miller and swapped classes. Trying to auto things felt pretty bad. I'm not a melee player so I don't know what that gameplay is about but I wasn't feeling it as a bear.

The biggest issue with PoE2 right now is the Act 1-3 experience. Once you unlock better gems, supports, and systems, the game changes so dramatically that it feels like a completely different game layered on top of itself. Early-game pacing is just bad, especially for melee. Your defenses are nonexistent, enemies hit absurdly hard, and being in close range is a huge liability compared to playing ranged. They either need to significantly smooth out the leveling curve or commit to making this a deliberately slow ARPG, but right now the early game just isn't working.

Don't forget how fun it is to do your ascendancies. Spend a day or two doing all your chores to get through the campaign and first three ascendancies and then you can finally enjoy wandering around doing random maps that you can kinda sorta juice to your liking.

When I first logged on earlier i was greeted with a message that I needed to roll back my AMD drivers multiple updates unless I wanted long loading screens. Not the greatest welcome to the new league, put me in a sour mood before I even started fat rolling.

Message is bullshit. I got the same message (which is probably related to Redstone), but noticed zero difference in loading screens.

I think this is what ruins shit for me. Everything about POE 2 I feel like I should love, but for some reason can't play more than 30 minutes whenever I give it another shot. I don't mind slow, I mean, D2 would never be described as a fast arpg. But the fact you have these abilities which are just so akward to get damage out of. You gotta roll outta the way of shit, get 1 ability off, roll more, maybe have time to get the next combo off to actually do damage. Oh nevermind gotta roll outta the way of this boss hit. You can still have mechanics and can still run your game at a decent pace, just make combat feel fun. There is a middleground between this and POE 1 and they need to find it.

It wouldn't load into the game at all for me. Did a quick search and found it was related to Vulkan, so switched to DX12 and it started loading fine.

If you do not enjoy it just don't play it. Revisit it at 1.0 or something.

I really don't enjoy PoE1 so I don't play it much at all, I usaliy load it up because I don't have anything else to do when they have a league start. I get bored real fast though because it's not really for me. Too complex.

I enjoy PoE2 though, a lot. But it does need the basic stuff added that is still missing. But the gameplay is more for me than PoE1.

Having fun with Bear, it tanks pretty good and rips bosses quite fast.
