I don't understand why they launched with a gigantic passive skill tree but then have most nodes be increased damage or five to a stat. Also life doesn't exist but ES does.

What’s wrong with me? I’ve been enjoying the campaign , I think the boss fights are fun, esp the end of act ones. What do people hate about the campaign so much?
Its too long and there is no skip so if you wanna roll another, well youre stuck with a, at minimum, 4 hr speed run. But Im sure the average twinked out run is like closer to 9-10 hours. League starter for the average is prob like 15-20 hrs.

Yeah +10 to +12% dmg nodes all over the fucking place witch all have diminishing returns the more you get.

Nah, I've been noticing an increase of jewely boiz if anything this patch. RNG gonna RNG.

I never run the campaign more than once a league is probably why this doesn’t bother me as much. It’s definitely slower than poe1 campaign but feels more fun for me. Talking just about league start. My main pain points in starting the league are the godawful ascendancy options, esp the sekhema trials

My complaints about the campaign are very much centered around the act one and act two during league start. Later on when you can just fill up on rares or leveling uniques from level two onward it's a completely different animal.

Yep fuck act 2 boss. Plant druid rolling along. Act two boss fight takes 10 minutes. Die at five percent. What a fucking shitty fight

A3 is just as bad, just for different reasons. Easy mode kicks in but it's still WAY too fucking long. If they trimmed anything off it in the last patch or whenever it was I sure as hell didn't notice.

i been doing boss tames. so far i think i have all of them from the campaign up to act 4 start.

Monkey seems overall best so far. he's so fast, so mobile, so focused and crits like a monster.

the tornado bird from the chaos trial is bonkers for clearing stuff in aoe, and...seems to destroy names , but is slower and a bit fatter.

vomit bird from chaos trial works like a gross artillary but is absurdly fat so gets hung up a lot.

the chimera (from chaos trial) freaking flies and air-bombs big areas of the battel field. he's a bit slow, but he shits up the ground with damage patches like nothing i've ever seen. i bet i would be absurd with a twister build.

the prior bosses, crowbell is great aoe but kind of slow, the hyena is SUPER mobile and basically has tons of range.

going to test more things as i go.

I think it's been said a lot over the past 8 months or so, but they just have a bad power curve for the campaign. A lot of it is fixed by having access to second-run stuff like infinite supports and tier 5 supports and twink weapons, but it's just rough.

Act 1 is the most punishing because you just don't have tools
Act 2 gets better because of new skills/support ascendancy
Act 3 layouts suck, but most builds feel "good"
Act 4 is all over the place but USUALLY by then you're either crushing it or you fucked up bad

I think it should be a breeze to walk through almost all of act 1, maybe Geonor a bit of a skill check (low damage, just mechanics), then act 2 let you fuck through, act 3 after your 2nd ascendancy start difficulty, act 4 gut check you like act 1 currently does. Respecs should also absolutely be free or near free before level 65.

I've taken literal broken classes through campaign season starts at least twice now and it is brutal, but once you know what you're doing it really isn't THAT much different than PoE1 campaign. If you're a "6 hours to maps!!!!" in PoE1er, you should be able to get to maps in PoE2 in 10-12 pretty easily.

That said now entering the map engame the REAL questing begins! There's so much fucking stuff I think it's a bit much. That and 1/3 of the shit being soft-lockable is a big problem. I'm scared to advance shit like Hilda because she can literally nuke expedition. I just did every breach node and I can't even allocate one of the last two passives (probably because haven't done a breachlord, but it doesn't SAY that). Shit took PoE1's mass of complication and just ported it right over. It's good for eaters, but it's going to BREAK casual gamers which PoE2 was set up to be the game for.

They done added too many ingredients and too many cook times.

For me personally, I don't mind the campaign.

My pain point is once you get to high yellow/lower red maps when you've been cruising along upgrading your gear pieces for 10-15 exalts each, and then you suddenly start hitting brick walls where you get absolutely one-shot and the only clear gear upgrades are now 2+ divines. It's at this point that you start losing maps to random bullshit and I get frustrated and quit rather than grind a ton to upgrade one piece at a time.

Also fuck ascendancy 4 (and arguably 3) being gated behind literally endgame activities.
