I appreciate it and will take you up on the gear / guild. When I played WoW, we had this one...acquaintance that would literally ask you for help every other solo quest. I refuse to be that guy lol. I see the potential in the game despite some QoL issues.
The thing you will learn when playing this over the course of some time is that you have to use your currency to craft, especially in campaign. I know as a noob its too much shit being thrown at you but every nugget of currency is more crafting you can do. Dont save it, use it. When you get to end game that shit rains down and you will have more than you will know what to do with. (the low and mid tier crafting currency). So while chances of finding something good on the ground is slim, you have options of crafting onto it, or re rolling it all together with something like an Alchemy orb. I think this is the way they designed the game to be played. Its not like diablo where you dont have too many choices once a piece drops. In this game when a piece drops, you can mod it. Shit in end game when you get a good base, you will want to get rid of all the prefix and suffix and craft your own (bit more expensive but thats end game). Its often times what people do.

Also use the gold and do some gambling too. In every city there is an NPC where you can gamble some gear. Sometimes this gets you over the hump.

Also keep in mind that in this game gem levels are where most of your power comes from. So keep them leveled up and finding something that has +1 or +2 whatever the fuck skills you are using attack or spells is a major power boost.

I would recommend watching a beginner course in POE2 crafting from some youtuber.

So I Id'd this with T1 melee skills and t1 flat phys and decided to yolo a fracturing and hit the beans. I'm wondering how to finish prefixes. My guess is.

Then omen sinistral exal and greater exal + perfect exalt?

Is that really all the best path forward? Then sinistral annull + annul to get rid of suffixes and start the whole desecrate omen of light rotation?

Don't know much about qstaffs but is there nothing you can get from essences or alloys to make it a bit more deterministic?

That thing is tits. Use an omen of necromancy to guarantee prefix, slam it with an ancient jawbone, and omen abyssal echoes before you reveal it so you get two tries. Even if you don’t land a high phys roll you can just omen of light annul and try again. The t1 flat phys is huge and you do NOT want to lose that - Dont do essences yet.

Is craft of exile 2 bugged or has shit gotten really weird since abyss league? Trying to plan a xbow craft so I hit it with Mark of the Abyssal and then at the very end I use the jawbone... and it says it's a 16.67% chance and just nukes whatever affix at random, usually leaving the abyssal intact. That can't be right... right? The only reason it exists is to be a placeholder.

Lol just simulated a few tries on craftofexile and didn't hit phys once in like 20 reveals, did hit t1 lightning a couple times. I don't think I'm rich enough for this craft might just sell the base lol

T1 phys is stupid rare. If you didn’t hit t2-3 phys that’s just shit luck. But yea didnt realize omen of light is up to 8 divine now LOL. Another option is using omen of whittling with chaos but not sure what the level of t1 flat phys roll is, you could seriously fuck yourself if you don’t research that first. You’re almost never gonna come out on top compared to just selling the base and letting someone else gamble.

Double t1phys with +5 melee has to be 1000 divine range.

All Ive really learned this season is to price check everything at a higher tier with the the Exiled addon. I havent sold a lot, but I am selling shit for once. I still have a lot of "stinkers" in my trade locker, and I probably just need to melt them down. But a good base flies off the shelf.

In other news - this is the first season where Ive done a good number of maps. Two take aways from this season. A lot of bosses Ive faced since release, I never really "did" them. Some bosses are still absolute aids, too. Sometimes you can hit a perfect roll with them and their abilities never line up to where they conflict with each other (like electric poles in the quick time maze that you have to get out of with the guy in the mine pits). But also, having to learn the timing on some one shot shit. Because in the campaign and low waystone tiers, the shit just doesnt one shot you. Even in the first release, that boss was a pushover - far before the boss nerfs happened.

Which is all well and good. I dont mind learning bosses and mechanics, thats fun. But... Its fucking awful learning shit when you're 70+. Say goodbye to any progress you made in that level. New bosses in Vaal? Dont do Vaal until you fucking level. I hate having to plan out shit Im not "good at" to when I level. That mining pit boss I just talked about, I died to him multiple times before I at least got the "concept" of his lightning. Should have been brain dead common sense - but he's zipping around the fucking room and I cant even see him on my screen half the time. Its awful. God forbid you're fucked before he even gets to that phase with the lightning poles still standing in the maze. I guess I need to stop DPS until they go away at that point.

Like.. this is a side ways rant. Because I think its good that Im having to learn shit. But I think the EXP loss past a certain point is just ridiculous. I'm not leveling once or twice off a map anymore because now its full clear 2-3 maps before I level (roughly). I dont know how I want the punishment to be any different, I just think learning a boss this late has some pretty "Fuck this game" qualities.

On that same note - I dont know what the fuck is happening, but if you die on a boss in a waystone - you get some kind of popup that you can only read for a split second. Come back and the bosses room is reoriented and the entire map is empty of all POI's and monsters. Any idea? Is this a bug?

lol so apparently ward doesn’t count as damage in sekhema trials. Just saw a guy do a hit less trials with 5k ward (and massive ward regen) and basically just stood there and ate everything.
getting that kinda ward and ward regen im guessing is costly tho, I know nothing about high ward builds.

I know zero boss mechanics. I point my crossbow , when boss is targetable I fire and it’s dead. This is how you poe.

I thought ward was calculated after ES and health?

Olroth's reserve gives you guard equal to your ward, which lets you take the damage before it hits your Hp/ES.

Good league, but now that I've done everything and have ~600 div invested into my character I think I'm pretty much done with the league. I don't think I'll bother with the mini-league events and just wait for 1.0.

i hope they add more idols next league. idol-beastmaster- huntress works well but the idols are (mostly) like "if you have a red hat on , all blue ducks take 5 % more runeward percentage loss"
