The golem jewel snip is a bit weird, they said they're adding deterministic ways to get them but not vendor recipe. Technically currently there's already a deterministic way to get them, that's farming golem bosses in certain maps for primordial cards. The drop rate is just absolute garbage so it feels like you're not doing anything. I guess instead of cards, they might make it so specific bosses drop specific jewels directly? Maybe on top of the cards? But seeing as how they're harping on about "making sure the unique jewels are valuable and exciting" or whatever, that sounds like some .2% droprate shit where you might as well just be farming better maps for currency and buying them just like currently.

Direct nerf to jewels for semi-casual players (especially melee) since now we need well rolled jewels with 4 mods instead of well rolled jewels with 3 mods and some utility. They just continue to bloat mod pools while limiting crafting options.

I have often said I was not coming back until they fixed trade; but every change has made the game less accessible and I honestly don't see myself coming back now.

God I don't want to play D4. I guess LE is my only fading hope.

PoE has consistently proved to be a complete waste of time and the hurdles to get to red maps just to hit the wall of infinite maps praying 1 of the million rares that drop aren't vendor trash, is just a boring experience, most getting to suffer from wrist injuries or other issues just to end up at the same spot they did the league before.

If I can't engage with the content in a completely different way, it's still the same boring treadmill.

Adding a jewel to my build that does 25% more damage means fuck all to me if I'm still using the same items, the same builds and the same skills to do the same treadmill with even less dopamine hits.

Im hoping the league mechanic is interesting and not convoluted as shit and we get a nice new overpowered set of skill gems that aren't reskinned versions of blade vortex.

A single gem that gives you 25% more damage likely comes at a great cost. Figuring out how to fit that gem into your build while smoothing out the cost IS the game.

The rest of that shit you mentioned, that's just filler. Put some porn/youtube/twitch on in the background and zone out.

Made it to 75 in HC delve, but I'm gonna be stuck here sideways grinding for a looooooong time from the looks of things. Rares become immediately non-viable if I go down any further with my current weapon and 4link.

I haven't really done much delve since the atlas passive tree got added, but holy shit are some of these mobs not reasonable with nemesis mods stacked on them. The tail whip cats, re-skinned moneys, etc, are so incredibly tanky it barely even makes sense. And they all have really long charge time attacks that do insane amounts of damage, but good luck killing them before your light leaves or it finishes charging and you have to run.

As funny as that is, people have been begging them to actually REDUCE the sheer amount of content bloat for a while now. The problem is their dumb ass cycle of adding league content into the base game, then gutting it for being too powerful, then 'making an adjustment (nerf)' to other popular content drops so that new gutted content feels rewarding. Is there any better example than Archnemesis going core to replace the rare system that was generally fine and their outright refusal to admit how large of a fuckup most of the AN changes were?

Died at 80 in the delve thing. Best run I've ever had in HC, but I had hit a serious wall in terms of damage cause I just couldn't find an axe upgrade. Exploded before I could even mash my health flask to a pack of sonic bats with the corrupted blood nemesis thing, even had positive chaos res lol.

The three they've removed are 100% okay, because who the fuck ever used them.

A lot of interesting shit here. Mana reservation efficiency on NORMAL jewels is huge. Really huge. Now they removed it from other sources so maybe it'll be a 1:1 switch, but that's nice QoL for some people.

Ailment Duration (?) and Ailment Reduced EFFECT is very interesting. It means you can run 100% reduced effect and run self chill/ignite/shock/poison builds much, MUCH easier now.

Abyss jewels roll up to 50% Ailment avoidance. That means PER ailment so you can be set with two abyss jewels if you're say a Chieftain with cannot be frozen boots or a Trickster/Jugg with Tempest Shield.

Corrupted modifiers staying put is nice for blood/silence/maim/hinder shit. If they removed that they would've had a riot on their hands. Also some jewels only being the outcome of corrupted jewels is a great thing for a few reasons: vaal orb sink since tainted currency is in game, double corrupt on jewels MAY be a thing for people not trying to get god-tier uniques (not sure how the 2x corruption will work, but it should already be established), Vaal Temple is fucking JUICED now even though the map has always been a great way to make small money/get cool items and now it's even better, and finally Alva Corruption Tempests are potentially GOD TIER with the right Arch Nemesis luck. Get a jewel boy, hit a corrupting tempest, drag him to a corrupting tempest, and blast.

Pretty cool changes. I'd infer from this two things:

One this is a GIMME league where it's just buffs everywhere. Whether it was planned because these leagues are allegedly done 6 months beforehand or whether it was a mea culpa because of the QQ fest, who knows.

or

The bad manifestos are coming. They did this to pump us up, but they're about to swing the hammer. I'd guess the next manifesto is pleasing as well and that third will be a fucking doozy. Then the fourth one will be some minor neutral shit no one cares about. IIRC that's how they've done it before, so we'll see.

I'd be okay if they got rid of all the unique jewels that modded skills that are 99% of what drops. If I never saw another molten strike, or freezing pulse, or double strike jewel I'd be fine

Hmm from the FAQ those golems jewels might actually be realistically farmable now, cautiously optimistic about that, one of my big issue with golem builds was the gear gating right at the start of a league which was annoying as fuck, if they made them decently farmable then that'd be a big improvement over the shitty cards they have atm.

Second run dead at 70 to crystal skin buried under a mountain of visual shit at an azurite node.

The good news is that plan worked way better than I had expected - just riding the 12% crit dagger on raider stacking flat ele and nightblade shit. I was at like ~90% crit chance with almost no effort and never had to worry about weapon upgrades.

May try one more run on an inquis and do some CoC nonsense, but we'll see if I have spare time to go through it all again. I do have a rise of the phoenix and an immortal flesh though which makes just doing boring RF stuff really, really tempting. Just not sure if it has the damage to go very far in delve the way monster health scales up so hard.

Boneshatter is an absolutely cracked skill. On a 4link with like a 350dps axe it was still pushing 300k dps, and slayer leech + vaal pact is nuts in the delve settings where you just will always have leech running.

And it's still not good enough. I can't figure out the exact reason, but the skill should self proliferate kinda like old HoI autobombers. Assuming you invest a bit into stun duration for pulse AE. But all it ever acts like is clearing a pack as if you just had melee splash and extra strikes built in. Which is good, don't get me wrong, I hate wasting gem slots on that functionality. It just bugs me that I can't figure why it doesn't prolif well.

Trauma stacking mechanic is ultra gay.
