I don't think any top tier strategy has emerged yet, just from tracking the prices of scarabs. Strongboxes are still good, but requires expensive scarabs. Just play what you think is fun.

Playing on Washington seems to work much better than EU trash servers, I might DC once in a while but I don't lose any portals.
100ms seems to works as well.
Edit: Also my PoE luck continues. Almost nothing drops for me. My friends find crazy fucking items worth tons and I dump everything into a dump tab and nothing sells lol. Fuck this autism game sometimes.

Haven't made it to t16 yet but whites are decent, only gotten 1 shot a couple times by infamous mercs. Assuming you're zerker you don't get much defense outside rage passives on tree.
Make sure suppress cap
Make sure high armor
Cap chaos if possible at least be around 20 to 50
Phys to ele convert where possible

I am, i'm super squish ya, so i just play like a pussy.
There are things to do that could help, but fundamentally i just feel like armor is not as good as evasion because t16.5-17 maps can roll with 200% (scaled with explicit modifiers) phys as extra ele dmg or more, and then eater altars give mobs even more phys as extra so at that point what is the armor even doing. And eater altars also have -phys damage reduction too.

Got a Divine on a merc this morning, the fucker one shotted me lol. Jimmys rustled.
Think it was my 3rd merc div though so they have been quite good. Still trying to find a flame link merc.
Have not really re-geared the merc I have. Mainly using him for Defiance Aura.

Not really apples to apples since you only need 1 singular item to scale all your increased damage with the Trarthus version and then can do whatever else you want with the tree/gear. You can make this version 1 shot bosses, kinda hard to do that with Heavy Strike au natural.
Any attack skill that has spell damage scaling is inherently broken because Indigon is a very, very silly item. And this one has spell scaling with quality as well....

Pretty easy way to get a fuck ton of physical spell damage. Tried figuring out automating phantasms but Herald of Thunder sucks and Bladefall of Trarthus is too slow. I've just been using it on a Penance Brand of Dissipation Heiro and the damage is good enough, but the amount of defense I can stack is pretty funny. I'm tankier than my fortified 88/88 5 endurance charge Gladiator for some dumb fucking reason.
I think the giga brain play is probably BV poison with this maybe Necro for Unholy Might or even better, steal Unholy Might node via flesh and flame and go Occultist. Elementalist is out because with Dark Monarch you can't summon golems.

I'm assuming this is a test patch to put mercs in PoE2. Looking at their skills they're set up exactly the same way. Even the support gems show up as ranks 1-3, just like PoE2.

Was going Cluster Swap with the Snekking and the total sum for the stuff needed was like 14 div. I had 7 and got depressed. Decided to do a 9 Annoint Blight map before bed and the fucker dropped 1 Div, Enlighten Support and 2 Golden Oils lol.
One last map actually worked and now I swapped to the cluster setup.

I actually didn't. I'm doing some dumb Queen's Regalia triple offering shit for myself so I was limited in my tree. If you didn't fuck with all that you could definitely stack some of those and I do have Spiritual Aid because I path through a bunch of minion nodes as well as the ~60% minion damage on the sceptre.
I think a BVer with it is the way to go. Probably Chieftain 90% fire with some phys to fire. I will say a blessed rebirth jewel is a MUST on some bosses and mobs with huge AE, but you can get some very juicy megalomaniacs with BR on them.

The Snaking build was damn fun playing. From start to T16, but kinda over being one shotted by stuff. Was a fun week but think I'm done for now.
Mercs are pretty much impossible to duel, they hit one time and it's a one shot death.
Unless someone can recommend a build thats tanky and fun to play.
