Yeah it's the map mods. Multi projectile wrecked me several times. (including the Niko deposit death) I leaped right next to them ahead of my snake and they shotgunned me.

I'm a one league a year or two player so I have to re-learn much of the game every time because I forget so much, plus the changes. I don't recall having issues with map mods before using evasive (RIP Raider) builds other than reflect and one or two others but now I'm getting rekt by half a dozen mods. Did they change them?

Bosses also fuck me up because I'm just not that great at bullet hell shooters. I kill them with DPS after leveling to avoid exp loss. No clue how people play this game on hardcore with screen-wide insta death mechanics.

Even with all this "you have to die now" bullshit the game is so damn fun I can't get mad enough to quit, lol. Cortex dropped a robe for me with curse duration and life regen on it after I died to rare mob with multi projectiles in the map and a death on Cortex doing his area-wide thing. You can go from mad to elated instantly in this game.

I absolutely adore Delve so I just go there to finish levels when I'm high in exp. If they ever remove Delve I'll riot.

I used to do delve to finish levels too. But you should check out breachstones. They’re all pretty much a joke when at late end game and chalupa still ticks some serious xp in at high levels , even without the flawless breach stone. I’d recommend using an otherworldly scouting report and just using whatever breach shows up, or you can buy a lvl 81 breach stone for pretty cheap too. Chayula is much better xp but not worth the cost

Running memories and 16.5s throws things off and makes you feel weaker than you are imo, they're just hard relative to how soon you start doing them. All the pinnacle bosses are much easier than them (not the 3 new ones maybe, I've only done them story mode).

Pretty pleased. Crafted this after getting the grasping mail from breach rings from expedition mostly. The recomb mod transfer is essentially a 33% chance you get fucked (if you get the mod solo after splitting) because you can't cheat it with any essence because the grasping mail can roll all flat eva/arm/es but other than that you can save fail fracture attempts with recombs so there is no risk after that first part. Don't mind the implicits and don't know what suffix i wanna craft or if i wanna keep rerolling suffixes for supress.

The new pinnacle bosses don't have uber versions I don't think and they are all fairly easy.

Anyone else get these 5 seocnd lockups randomly? They happen, I hit escape and come back to a paused game. But the overlay on the map I'm running goes to "undiscovered".

Weirdest shit. I'd say it happens like 1/20 maps.

It seems folly to develop Ruthless mode, see how unreceptive the playerbase was to it, and then think a commercially successful game can be made from the same base design decisions.


Do you guys like gem swapping? How about merc swapping?


Probably the endgame build for people that like to min-max shit.

I wanted to test that shield on mercs since they have mana, but don't actually use it. In theory should be a nice, permanent flat boost for them. But at the prices now Im not gonna drop that many divs to test.

I made about 50 divs yesterday buying the base version of Omeyecun “Dance of the something” (Can’t remember the name) and the vial to transform it and then running temple to upgrade it. It may still be pretty profitable today if the prices stay where they are. I was making about 4-6 divs per flip because the vials were selling for nothing.

He's just saying he found a hole in the market and exploited before the market caught on.

Basically the base item and upgrade item (vial) had a huge discrepancy compared to the demand on the fully combined item (which you combine at temple with vial and base item).

The market adjusts normally so the discrepancy is usually like 10-20 chaos but he caught it when it was out of sync and made bank. Many such instances of market insights that people take advantage of (like buying a cheap unique before a fotm video us released etc)

This is precisely the opportunity they have with PoE2. Not that the game needs to be "retard accessible" like D4, but the game has fucking over a decade worth of systems on top of systems on top of systems. And a metric fuckload of "tribal knowledge" that you only really get by playing the living shit out of the game every league, checking all the crazy shit they change every season, keeping up to date on skills/items that do/don't work certain ways anymore, etc.

It's a tangled web of shit that most "casual" fans will never really be able to grasp or fully comprehend.

I set up a Betrayal board last league and have been doing another this league. I've got people where I want but the whole process is kind of ass. I don't have any complaints with the revamp but they did slow it down. That's fine though because the old strat was just Grav cheese. Nothing else mattered anywhere. Not getting pulls as frequently with him in exchange for interesting things in other places that all take a little longer to get is fine. With so few people bothering it is pretty rewarding for how low the risk is with some chances for super high rolls.
