I don't care much which way they go, but they absolutely have to pick a lane and stick to it.
The current implementation of the campaign+bosses being souls-lite WEIGHTY combat cannot co-exist with map blasting. They are just diametrically opposed ideas.

I've been having more fun than I anticipated with aurabot and kb merc. The merc is hyper aggressive, not quite the same targeting range as bama, but a far superior skill.
I'd recommend giving a try. Its hard to understand how fun an auto targeting kb machine gun is. I'm almost certain merca go core, there's far too much diversity to just throw it away. But who knows what gets nerfed. Besides Doryanis and rallying cry.
As someone that detests minions for their retarded AI, kb merc feels much better. Minions often feel like you're dragging bored children across the map. KB merc keeps up with you, easily. There's still some derpy shit where it sits there doing nothing, but it's rare.
Best part is that you can get it going on on some pretty cheap uniques. Self found most them so far, spent maybe 50c. A tad squishy, which is to be expected from so little investment. But this build easily gets tankier.

They're going core the same way Archnemesis went core. All the rogue exiles in the game currently are going to get replaced by these fucks. You're going to open a chest in 3.27 and witherbitch or irebro is going to pop out and send you back to your hideout in 0.25 seconds.

I mean, I could see it going core and having a 10% chance for your chosen merc to show up in maps to help you out, with atlas point investment to make it 100%. it would just feel weird gearing out a merc just for it to show up 1 in 10. and you wouldn't have it for bosses.

I’ve been playing this league longer than most and as a result have quite a bit more currency than usual case where I brick a mage blood and quit. Having said that, are simplex amulets and helical rings always this expensive?? decided to try a stat stacker build that uses these and it’s like 400 div + to get both bases and then many more to craft them. I feel like they have to be cheaper to get by running heists?? (you can buy unlocked wing heists for like 60c?)

Yeah, I gotta say, the Kingsmarch core implementation was kinda shit. I don't know how many maps I have run, but I have yet to find enough ore to finish the delivery request from a single port.
And the city being fully upgraded from the start is weird, making it awkward to put in members that fit with your current gold budget. The progression was better.

You need to invest atlas points to get ore. And when you do that you get more ore than you'll ever need, because it's only really useful early in a league for gear. There are also scarabs.
The implementation of kingsmarch is actually one of the better core additions they've done.

Spending gold to arbitrage the exchange seems like a more profitable use of it to me but I keep doing ships just to experience the game or whatnot.
People kept saying to send 250k to Kalguur, mostly in Zanthimums. The last divine I got from doing that was 15 ships ago.

The strat I follow is tattoos and div cards. You are guaranteed like 10 div a run. Use the verisium and dust for the cards and all the rest of the ore for tattoos each ship bound to ngamaku.
I use the scarab for extra ore and all ore is retrieved as bars. Then it's pretty much alch and go maven strat
