You are right, I was thinking along the lines of never dying while trying to level. I reached 97 and said eff it and started harder content and I die from time to time but not that often, and mostly in content that I ALWAYS die on, like Sirus. And he's definitely not optimized at all.
Yea POE gonna POE. Leveling to 100 takes a concious effort of looking at your mods, knowing what mobs you run into in the maps and other things like that. Its why I'm still frustrated that GGG hasn't put some QoL in rolling and crafting maps outside of regex. Like I want to be able to color affixes on items/maps like I color drops in the maps. I want to be able to mass roll shit and see things at a glance. Doing things in batches in this game really brings out the tedium.
