Messing around with some older PoB stuff (3.26 tree so not entirely accurate) but I think this Whisperer shell is pretty great as a lowish budget early game

As long as you don't mind hitting a mana flask once every 11 seconds for big recovery.

Was playing infrequently until the phrecia event was announced, and then I made it my mission to hit 100. Just made it tonight. I've hit 100 before, but this was the first time where it was pretty much just grinding t16 maps (with some 16.5s).

Took way too long but at least I finally did it!

So how do the 3.27 Phrecia Idols work? Is it essentially non-consumables you use like tetris to do what the atlas usually does? Does this 3.27 version change anything from the last iteration in terms of modifying them?

I did read a bit up on the last Phrecia league and it sounded pretty fun at end-game, just not sure how hard it is to get to the point of using your own intended strat. Considering you are at the luck of the rng drops / trade site. Im sure a ton of the sought after strategies will have idols that are super expensive.

yes on everything you just said.

They are pieces of equipment like sanctum relics that replace your atlas tree. 3.27 has async trading so the market should be a little different as people gobble up cheap idols to combine them with the recombinator. Other than that, yes the good idols will be many divines. btw that just opens up moneymaking opportunities for the low end to farm the idols to make money from the juicers*.

It was fun at the end game, assuming your build can handle super DUPER juiced content. the high end of juice exceeds any other league, including affliction, but the build requirements may match that as well.

You can begin using the intended strat pretty cheaply and easily, just collect idols that have 1 or 2 mods for that content (dirt cheap and self-findable), upgrading into idols that have 2-3 mods (gotta trade or recombinate for them, but not too bad, maybe 30-50 chaos each), into the endgame idols that have all 4 relevant stats (expensive, anywhere from 1div to 100div).

*Idols only drop from map bosses, so if you want to farm idols you can use what is basically a destructive play strat to run quick maps to maximize the number of map bosses you kill per hour.

Getting into the strat you want isn't very expensive, but getting the perfect idols was very expensive last time. I imagine asynchronous trade will make them less expensive this time. You pretty quickly are making more from the strat you choose than you'd be making from the atlas tree.

Sounds like it could be pretty fun, and I skipped the last one, but not sure I would be able to get where I wanted to get within the 3 week timeline.

Might roll up this weekend and pray they extend it.

The changes to the Whisperer mana flask node are made for you Deathwing Deathwing . Its like a 2000% better version of that crappy Pathfinder node now. Gives both mana and life recovery and no less recovery downside. Mana and Life recovery problems solved with 1 node and 1 good mana flask. And briskwrap synergizes with the dex mana stacking node from Whisperer as well.

I mostly fixed my macro. The lone problem ended up being that send the keystroke meant whatever other keys you had depressed, like shift for dumping, is now considered released and repressed, ruining what it was held down for.

Since this doesn't queue, same problem?

No idea about your macro but that node allows you to have more sustained life recovery than Master Surgeon does AND you get sustained mana recovery as well.

What are you going to play until the market has cooled down on Indigon and Tides? Is Whisperer Mana stacking good on absolute garbage gear?

I was thinking of something like this

Tides tends to be a lot cheaper for low rolled utility flask versions, you dont care at all about flask charge gain, you have mana flask uptime even with 1 of everything. Briskwrap scales with Dex.

KBoC is the obvious choice.

KBoC and Herald of Agony are going to be so overplayed.

I've decided to completely bait myself into Connor's EB Scavenger Incinerate/wintery blast of frostblink. I plan to level and strugglebus through early maps as armageddon brand/cremation till i can make the switch.

I'm fully aware I may end up tapping out after the weekend.
