Path of Exile

I restarted a Boneshatter build, got through the first act; I just got back from a field trip. The changes to some of the unique bosses are trippy. Playing Hardcore would be interesting in the first Act.

I'm at act 9 with my scavenger, leveling as arma/crema and it's pretty fun now.

The act bosses are no joke, I've never played a gauntlet event and I was under the impression this one wasn't a gauntlet, but I guess it is!

edit - lol, I just looked at the event page again and it was this little note: "Campaign bosses, as well as some Pinnacles have also developed a few new mechanics for you to overcome."

well, I thought they meant they'd have an extra attack or two, not be the entire pool of unique monsters you fought in the whole act.

I was planning on playing but it started 10pm on a Thursday for me. Lost all interest starting late in a short league. Did not enjoy 3.27 either so I think it's a skip for now.

I'm having fun but goddamn are hive fortresses annoying in the campaign. The faster you're trying to get through ten acts the more in your way they are.

Yeah, Malachai having the Maven's rotating healing debuff-beam mechanic is just lol.

I didn't know there was a problem until I checked reddit today.

Whelp, there goes the economy.

I gave up at act 4. Just did not feel it.

Absolution leveling felt pretty good though up to that point.

Glad I missed another broken economy.

Why do I always get Delirium and Ultimatum crap on these idols. I do not like running those. I have finally purged my set up of Delirium but not yet Ultimatum.

Also, I am running a modified Boneshatter set up since the ascendancies don't exactly jive (I need a reliable source of end charges) but at Tier 3 maps I am still running Sunder lol. Bleed is bleed, I suppose.

The fact that idols can't be crafted and you have to pick up and visually inspect every one is tedium to the extreme. I just wanna map bro. I wouldn't mind something like jewel slots in the atlas tree i think though as long as it's not instantly neccessary and they're craftable so i can alt spam them if i feel like it and hence don't have to loot every one.
Im sure the loot you get from idols once you maxed out a strat could be fun but the journey there is so much worse than having the atlas tree.

I thought i'd try and get into phrecia2 but idols + breach walls + the facts it's only a 3 week thing pretty quickly convinced me to not sweat this one. And ill be less burnt out and ready to go for next league instead.

If they just made the recombinator free just for idols, it would be 10000x better, because you could smash them together and try to gamble up good ones. I don't know what fucking moron decided it should cost a bajillion gold and dust.

It's an extreme delayed gratification mechanic on a three week psuedo event league.

Couple odd choices with this one. I'm having a decent time but it's entirely because I had been wanting to try the Herald and really didn't play the last Phrecia at all. if I wasn't all about the character I was piloting I'd have bailed the instant that second mystery box popped in to my inventory.

I got 100% increased area of effect as a random mod on my quest Searing Exarch.

I did not win.

I did my two stones on Herald of Purity is My Six Link Herald. It was something I wanted to try since Dark Monarch was introduced. Twelve Sentinels of Purity has to be sweet as hell. It was pretty smooth. I got just enough money together for the hat and a Coming Calamity with the Foulborn modifier for Lone Messenger, made transition to the single herald and went out kick ass.

It was bad. It was real bad. I think I just bricked myself bad.

I had also been rocking a four link Herald of Agony (rendered null from Lone Messenger) and it turns out Agony was doing the heavy lifting the entire time. If I pick the character back up again I need to take off all the crap I bought for Purity and make Agony the six link.

I didn't do a single bit of Phrecia last time around beyond what was necessary to get a mystery box so I had no interaction with idols. I know that they get crazy at the high end but with 2/3rds of a quad tab full most of what I pick up is the same general mod pool in different combinations. I get it. The good shit is rare as fuck. It's just that this is three week league and idols are a huge pleasure deferment mechanism. Given how much I've played I'm not comfortable with this amount of ramp time versus my skill level and time efficieny.

Async trade helps, but you have to know what combos with what to search for the stuff you want. Recombs are just impossible due to dust requirements. They really should let you modify them after ilevel 80 or something. Let you alt orb the small ones at least.

I dumped 5ish divines and all my gear in the Phrecia guild stash yesterday afternoon after I hit 90. Help yourself if it’s still there.
