Also in reference to the "Only 2% of players used it!!!" metric people are trying to complain with. Here's the end of Keeper's League:

One skill has been "nerfed" into oblivion, one is one of the most comfy specs since RF, and then there's Mamba. All sharing the same usage. The 2% on HROC is absolutely fucking bonkers because I know people here even played it.

This is why people were saying it was deleted. If you used it as a generic strike you didn't have the less attack speed penalty and you didn't have the less damage while dual wielding penalty on a strike skill with perfectly fine effectiveness of added damage. This is also why it got nerfed. It was getting used as a generic strike skill.

Weird, honestly didn't know people were doing that. Looking at it it seems it's mostly str stacking Juggs were using it for that purpose with the already nerfed Foulborn HoTaMs. I'm not even sure that's the best way to do it even for that build. Seems more of them were using Reave than Mamba. The nerfs before reversion seemed half for strike half for DOT, though.

Gem swapping, reave for clear, mamba for single target. Or invest in some extra strikes and strike range and kludge mamba into both rolls. It was going to be ruetoo's starter this league, that 2% was going up.

The nerfs were three fold originally: stop abuse of mamba's hit damage(intact), prevent application of multiple strong poisons through other methods(Betrayal's Sting, new sword)(intact), nerf mamba poison dps(reverted).

Essentially, poison mamba is back to where it was in 3.27 whilst catching a significant QoL stray in 30% less attack speed. Considering whiffing agile targets is one of the chief complaints of the skill, perhaps they thought this good enough and they didn't need to touch its ridiculous ability to dot cap.

It was the only combined hit skill in the game without a penalty. I'm pretty sure that was because they just forgot to add Viper Strike's (non trans) actual penalties to it. Which they now have done.

This is what I got for cold ele hit league starter so far. My definition of "league starter" tends to be somewhat austere, and I'm even breaking my own rules by including marylene's fallacy. But, I was able to buy one after the campaign in Phrecia, so...probably ok.

Don't have a solve for endurance and frenzy charges in single target zones. Open to suggestions there.

If anyone gets seduced by Guardian you can socket Automation with Convocation and not have to worry about where your big ass minion is. It even heals him a little.

Man I was hopeful Convocation could use a blue coin and get Automation, but automation appears to be a hybrid gem type and not a support so it won't be in the pool.

Yea anyone that thought it would be remotely okay for that bloodline to convert all of ele hit was smoking crack. People would be running around in campaign gear with a paradoxica and hitting 30m dps with ease.

Unless nu-sweep has absolutely bonkers numbers I'm probably just going generic spelltotems and figure out an endgame skill later. Need to try it out but I suspect the faster activation animation + further channel distance will make storm burst or flameblast pretty nuts.

I'm leaning towards self cast KF warden atm, eventually going for the shrine belt, double tincture and extra ring slot. But waiting to see what more info they release this week.

Kind of a relief they are going to disable it from working with Ele hit. This league would have been:

1 - Haters coping that strike skills are unplayable and that ele hit doesnt have huge aoe and great clear
2 - Someone releasing a video on like day 2 annihilating nightmare maps
3 - Previous hater streamers releasing "hype" ele hit videos and pobs
4 - 80%+ of the playerbase playing ele hit

It would have been obscenely broken.

Yep, good choice. Even just the announcement of not mid-league nerfing something that they freely acknowledge being a broken interaction was pants-on-head retarded. Even I was considering scrapping any other plans and just going for it but I kinda backed off because I thought even WITH their announcement, that if the outcry was loud enough they would break their word and mid-league nerf it.

I enjoyed Absolution leveling in Phrecia. But I fell off due not being into the "league".

Thinking of maybe doing Absolution again if I can't find a Holy Hammer build that works.

I've league started Absolution maybe six times. SRS at level 4, quest reward Absolution before fighting Mervail and it takes a big ol' dump on the campaign.

This is I'm sure a skill issue but around yellow maps it always fell off for me. I know it scales in to crazy damage and it just got buffed for the Nth time but between that progression hiccup and the mechanics of spell echo I'd always bail to a different skill rather than stick with it. As a placeholder "I'll figure out what I'm doing later" setup Guardian Absolution is hard to beat on that part of the tree.
