I think Absolution will be my league start. And if someone figure out a good Holy Hammer build I will respec. Most say to not level with that gem anyway.

I almost went back to D4 to play Paladin but now I can finally forget about that and do some holy attacks in PoE instead. Only downside is playing old man giraffe neck!

Dark Monarch is an interesting helmet but completely bricks most of the best parts of Guardian's ascendancy. Always fun checking PoE NInja and seeing how many people are summoning Elemental Relics that they actually aren't.

Did I miss about the league mechanic? I used to play 2-3 builds each league to 85 or 90 and just stopped when PoE2 came out. So I'm really out of it.

There's still some stuff to figure out with the skill, but this build looks interesting. He's not using it (says it's exploity in the YT comments) but I see a lot of people talking about cwdt + hydrosphere + hydrosphere (+trauma?) tech which has the potential to add a lot of damage I think if it works. The way I understand it is you target the hydrosphere, which keeps spawning under you from cwdt setup bypassing the 1sec cd, which will then splash damage to the boss, it'll chain the beam to the boss, and the boss will still get hit by additional strike, is that right?

I'm reminded of reave and how much it sucks to fight that 3s timer as someone that alt tabs a lot. I'm anticipating frequently jumping into packs with only a few stacks and not one tapping the pack. Which is both dangerous and feels bad because more stacks might have cleared.

I did a quick run to the start of act four to check out Penance Brand of Conduction. It's getting a big buff. I remember not liking it at all but phys spell with baked in convert to lightning is a nice bit of text to have for a possible Guardian.

It's still bad. After the patch if it's got the mojo when backed by a proper investment alright but it's ass mechanically. I had to consult a wiki I was so confused. It had been a bit since I had actually used Radiant Crusade at all (the big flaming minion) and he's even better than I remember. Making him permanent with more movement speed is going to feel amazing.

Think the minion one is the skill base number, so 38% of say Golems or Holy Relic will be less than 1. Spectres at gem level 25 you'll get 1 more. Potentially good for SRS, Skeleton (mages probably b/c spell echo support), phantasms, animate weapon, and zombies. Kind of want something you can easily cast with unleash/spell echo, or never recast.

I'd like to see exactly how much it scales on gem level. A corruption of +2 level of socketed minion gems takes it from 3 or 4 to 5 or 6 with other options including Diallas or Squire stuff.

2 of those gems are vastly different than anything that currently exists. Why do they think keeping these new exceptional gems secret is interesting? It's so annoying.

I'm not a fan. They announced 40+ or something and we've seen I think six. You can throw a condom on my league starter it's so safe but there is going to be some salt flowing over what's missing (I'd have started something else if you told me X was gone with no replacement) and then again over what was added (I'd have started something else if you told me that cool gem was going in).

They're probably saving a ton of fools from building their starter build up based around an exceptional gem they have little or no chance to see until a week or two into league.

The good ones are going to be rare drops from pinnacle bosses right? No one is planning their build around awakened multistrike for example, doesn't seem like that big of a deal.

Has anyone clicked around in Lances Eblade guide? Feels like a max stack incinerate of venting and a spectre setup (doubles the damage which is crazy) is doing all the heavy lifting.
Whitout those the i guess ~day 3 setup goes from the advertised 44 million to around 8 if i just plug in a fire ball/firestorm etc instead. Considering the quality of gear and kind of bad clear of self cast spells like this it seems kind of bad.

I had thoughts about speccing out of KF totems into something like Eblade but this has me pretty hesitant now.

If you're accustomed to always buying, let's say, Awakemed Minion Damage and Awakened Cold Penetration, you might want to know the state of those two otherwise not hard to acquire gems.

My response would be "get fucked minions players" lol. But more seriously I guess it'll be datamined right away anyways so revealing it a few days earlier would be fine. I didn't see anyone complaining about it in the reddit thread though, so who knows if they'll do anything.

This is basically the same thing as Connor's Eblade scavenger from phrecia 2.0, which I played. You teleport around with frostblink for pretty good clear and anything that survives the blink you just incinerate down. if you're doing something like blight or ore nodes or delve you just stand there and spin around holding down the right button. the scaling vectors are pretty potent since energy blade wasn't nerfed *that much*.

Frostblink of Wintry Blast feels really good as a clear skill as long as you've got a lot of cast speed.

Looking at this pob specifically, it's gonna be a rough time getting even to just the "FoulbornGhost" loadout. he's got a foulborn dream rolling life, that's a third of his total damage. that's a 280 div item.

We'll see if we get any bitching down the road. If the gems are just good in the aggregate than who cares. If it appears to be the deleting of raw power in exchange for niche or transformative options whose benefit is not reflected on a PoB I'd expect some loud complaints about nerfed character power. Going over my minion PoB from Keepers if I switch out the four Awakened gems I was using for their regular equivalent it's a loss of 28% of my damage. I don't have the impression that the new gems are raw numbers but even so I also am assuming that I'll get to the other side in roughly the same condition.
