Frostblink of Wintery Blast is a pretty good clear skill once you reach massive investment.
I didn't have anywhere near Connors level of gear and i was about 30% of the speed of this guy, who is JUST stacking cast speed instead of damage.
It's still plenty fast.
yeah when you're not stacking insane cast speed and you're just using it on a 4 link for regular old clear with spellblade/Eblade doing the heavy lifting on damage, it's actually pretty chill and not that ridiculous. that's why noone goes full wintry blast, they just use it to augment a 6-link for your main single target damage.
GCP's will be more valuable, and you now have more of a chance to hit eldritch embers as rewards instead of the other stuff, but yeah, seems a little more lopsided this patch.
There's always hope now that fracturing orbs are in the common drop pool for currency that the patch will reveal they've been added as an exarch altar reward to balance out the chance for divines!

They gave breach six wheels with what looks like a lot of ways to scale up the encounters. I guess the devs took it to heart when people said they wanted to juice them. Breach might be legitimately good now even excluding genesis tree cheese. I think it's kind of a mistake to add it back to the right side given that half of the atlas already has Betrayal, Expedition, Harvest and even Delve for gear options and the left is Essence with not much else. The route to Betrayal/Breach/Expedition is a little too efficient. You've even got Unwaivering Vision right there.

Breach might be legitimately good now even excluding genesis tree cheese. Damn, shaping the skies/mountains is juicy enough to be an auto-include in any strategy now.
The route to Unwavering Vision now includes a node for 12% more scarabs. I'm not even sure Unwavering is worth it anymore with the map drop changes.
Kind of annoyed where they put Synthesized Stability. I hate memory tears and don't even want them, but you're forced into increased chance for them just to run the same map with astrolabes.
Paths Not Taken seems like an easy take until you've set up the seer and your endgame strat.

I'm doing spell totems and the hives go better with that but I expect to bail off of all of those nodes to unstables before end game mapping. I can't see how it would make sense to spend the time it takes to do hives or hives with extra waves as clear speed improves. The scarab that turns Alliyah buffs in to +difficulty/+loot would have to be pretty baller.
The thing about hives is you get WAY more wombgifts and hiveblood in fortresses, and the chests drop foulborn uniques. Not to mention hive colonies for It That Was Tul/Esh and their drops.
