This is an example of one of the more egregious scalars they've ever released in PoE. It happens from time to time and people don't pay attention to it because the numbers aren't readily eye popping

5% per 100 ward is... idiotic. 10k ward = 500% increased cooldown recovery rate. You can easily hit 30k ward with things like Yndas and Faithguard.

People will use that purely for the CD recovery, ignoring the trigger portion. Those numbers don't make any sense. Abuse it while you can if you feel so inclined.

There is nothing else in the game that scales that stat even close to that much. Saboteur is one of the few places to get it and its only 50% and its a feature notable of that ascendancy

At a certain point aren't you just battling tick rate on the server not to mention diminishing returns? For things like coc I don't know if it's worth the less multiplier but maybe for other big cool downs it's worth? I've only used cdr for coc and cwdt.

Well you're always trying to line things up vs server tick rate (33ms). That's global, has no bearing on CDR one way or another other than you need to be aware of it.

More CDR = better. And that one gem can solve all your CDR needs on any skill by itself essentially.

As an example they added this exceptional support this league, there hasn't ever been anything like this for just flat cdr and this is what would be considered a high amount

That's 45%. The cast on ward break is 50% at just 1k ward. 1k ward is nothing. So a gem that has other purposes is better suited at the job this new exceptional gem was created for by leaps and bounds.

Make no mistake. Being able to get hundreds of percents of CDR is game breaking. You can essentially get things like Molten Shell to fractions of a second of CD time, making it *almost* permanent. Warcries can be used over and over (and there is a warcry mastery that restores 15% of life when you use a warcry). These are just 2 small examples.

You can make Frostblink have a CD that is lower than Wintry Blast's cast time...

That shit is broken.

Ele reflect bad, phys reflect is annoying but doable as long as you're full converting but Big Bernie will kill himself if you're Guardian, +resistances is nullified so it's great, spell suppression on mobs is a big loss of dps, and that's about it outside of your classics like no regen maps.

I forgot but I eventually go skeleton mages with the Blessed Rebirth cluster notable so they're literally invincible for 4 seconds and I recast. Absolution is only "created" when it pops from the mob debuff that summons them, so they just refresh duration rather than being able to use that notable properly.

HOWEVER, Foulborn Fleshcrafter removes the faster energy shield recharge and instead lets minions leech 5% elemental dmg as ES which is really, really good for keeping them up. But I know you 6 linked your regular one and that's perfectly fine the more damage you do the less likely the absolution will ever lose all their ES.

There's more tech I use with Rathpith necromantic Aegis, but then you lose defense and need to scale health and your minions slowly (kind of) kill themselves when they cast, but I'd stick with aiming for a Doryani and doing that as there's several full guides for that setup out there.

The minions rarely die for me, only the Golem pops once in a while, they are usually full ES with the Guardian node.

The foulborn looks good though but I guess it's more expensive as well.

Edit: I'll get one and try work on the links for it while using the normal one.

The one I got just 6 linked after 5400+ fusing (not a joke, I was committed and possibly "testing at one point). Switched from Abso to skelies, my preferred build, but man, Vaal Absolution is an absolute beast. I hope the guide you're following does some Vaal cooldown reduction stuff because if you get him 100% uptime I can't even imagine. Still sucks cold starting on some bosses/areas though.

And for anyone who doesn't know:

I followed Ronarrays build but have deviated some with the fleshcrafter.

Just want to farm some currency now and chill with the gear switching for a bit lol. Getting a foulborn though is not a big deal as it's the same base.

He does switch to some chaos damage with a bloodline I think but have not checked his updates.

I'm broke right now so need to farm for a bit anyway before I try something new with the build.

I got a little cool down recovery and I feel I can have the Vaal auto bomber up a lot. But the normal Absolution pets clear pretty well also.

But I feel I'm doing good, just 100/100 and 6/10 the atlas and run T16 with ease. Sometimes I get one shot from shit but that's PoE.

Very small sample size. But I had 3 chaos from picking them off the ground by the end of act one. I guess that's from changes someone mentioned.

I absolutely hate what Kingsmarch has done to this game. Obviously async trade is a great addition, but having to interact with all this town simulator bullshit every league or miss out on tons of passive currency is so dogshit.

They could even add a "stamina" system that is required for you to interact with the town. It could slowly refill and you could pay money to refill it faster!

Who cares? Let it be a mostly meaningless resource after a certain point, just like it is in all ARPGs.

The fact that if you want to min/max you're forced into retarded house chores is what makes me quit early every league. My autism can't handle being innefficient and the chores aren't fun or meaningful. So, I end up in a scenario where I'd rather just not play. PoE1 has been like this for me ever since they added that bullshit.

I was able to hop on a bit last night and finished the trial I was missing to do the first lab.....man between EleHit this league, and Mirage keeping me a bit overleveled, I have been demolishing the campaign so far. (The OP 1hander uniques help a ton too)

Zero deaths up to A5 so far, though I'm sure I'll still have a few before maps because I always do something stupid, it's pretty inevitable, haha.

Got the Vaal bloodline Ascend for basically 100% uptime on Vaal Absolution. Had to sacrifice some in Guardian so had to drop Determination for now, kinda need to run Purity of Elements because my resists are crap (because I went all in on rarity lol 101% + 30% flask).

100% autobomber screen clearer is worth it though! With the bloodline you have a 20% chance on saving the souls for another go at the skill.

What's MF like with the new currency changes? Last time I did it was Affliction and with a 5k juice map Id get about 4 tinks minimum.

My Vaal Absolution I'm going with Doryani's and the extra spectre node. First time using a Doryanis and am learning the hard way how to look out for lightning dots. Great league though, I'm way ahead of where I usually am at on Day 5.

I'm having bad luck. One divine today and not much else in the tink league. Not sure what Atlas to run though. Doing Breach/exarch right now and it's good experience at least. Got two levels today and I'm now 95.

If anyone got a good currency strat please share.

Up to Act 6 with no deaths, and finally forced my lazy ass to get steelskin / automation setup along with assassins mark / mark on hit.

Also got a unique amulet from a mirage that gives me Purity of Elements to cap my resists for now, plus gives me ele ailment immunity.

Campaign is pretty damned easy but I know when it comes to my voidstones I'll suffer a bit. Just wish I had more time to make progress......wanted to be at maps by now but too much RL shit going on.
