So is apostate still worth it? U lose 1200 life at max level and you have no es. I guess you can get 1200 es on chest but that only gets you back to essentially having no chest piece cuz of that huge penalty. Seems like a lot to make up for with other armor.

Nothing really jumps out as super awesome, and now that POE2 is in a pretty good state POE1 just kinda feels like a step backwards now. Especially since nearly every change for both games just seems like they're bringing both of them closer together. Probably first league in years I will skip so that I can get through more of my other backlog before POE2 1.0 comes out.

Yes, the games being testing grounds for each other is quite lame. 1 is still better in a few very important and fundamental ways however.

I know all the spells that go in them got buffed (sometimes by a lot) but seeing all the nerfs to spell totem, ballista totem, totem stuff off of Hiero as well as mines kinda feels bad.
My competing emotion reading the patch notes is "I can't believe they're still buffing minions we're already long overdue for a savage beating."

What did they even buff for minions? I searched "minion" and "necromancer" and didn't see anything special (nothing at all for necro).
The only minion build I care about (HRoC necro) got indirectly nerfed because Dialla's Malefaction green sockets are now +20Q instead of +30Q. Sad times.

Certain minions were "pausing" during attacks (I think they mean the start of being summoned, skeletons had like 0.4 seconds they didn't do anything for instance) and no longer do that. Also spell based minions can now wither on hit and previously were not (absolution, spectres, skelly mages, and holy relic)
Holy relic I think with the colored quality gem socket stuff means you're in fact NOT locked to Dialla's anymore because last patch they added a whole bunch of minion cooldown recovery to a bunch of shit like belts from infamous mods etc. I'm pretty sure you can get to the second to last breakpoint now for any chest you want as long as it has the right color.
Rathpith being nerfed hurts my build a little bit for skeleton mages with the drop to 3% from 5%, but I guess I can just blast vaal orbs and hopefully get a 4% for less nerf. The coloring thing also makes a huge QoL for people who have to gem swap for bossing.

My build got some nerfs (Heiro) due to kinetic fuselade(sp?) being targeted. However, keeping Heiro I think moving to freezing pulse totem will be pretty nice. It got some rather nice buffs, so combined with the gem buffs might be nice. I'm kinda looking forward to the gamble train that Legion will turn into to see what kind of broken crap comes out of it. (oh and ya, merc ascendancy is going to proly be busted as all get out)
