The billions they spent on those "live service" games are probably not helping, but now that upper management has been replaced

The writing is far from on the wall, they just chased the wrong drug.

Right now though it will be a bit rough sense what games are they actually working on? Other then what they showed during the recent "state of play" is that it? Man they really went for it.... *laugh*

I hope sony and microsoft stop making consoles, switch remaining alive is fine since it doesn't impact pc games.

Seeing games like GTA and Cyberpunk tuned down in order to run on consoles is bullshit.

By the time GTA6 comes out, the PS5 will be 6 years old. That shit is ancient.

The PS5 had some great games but I barely touch it

I'll be honest as someone that bought a launch PS5, having something like a PS5 pro come out that's a midlife kicker just kills my momentum for buying and games knowing I have the weaker model. I understand why they do it, but I ain't spending $750 on a MLK.

My PS5 was collecting dust so I gave it away to a buddy. He has 3 kids and he says they play the hell out of it (he does too).

I play the fuck out of mine. We’ll see. I’m about to redo my pc to put it on my big screen. Also need to finally rip my movie collection to a server.

I have my PS5Pro but mostly for the improved VR.

But now I finally have a top of the line PC, so I'll shift my VR stuff over there eventually.

I'm also hoping that in the near future, they'll do what Xbox did, and let you play on PS or PC with 1 purchase.

I did. It looks really nice, but it's pretty much a direct transfer of MGS3 without anything really new. Which is probably a good thing at this point. A few things weren't as impressive as they used to be, like the visuals during the Fury fight (they scaled down the fire a lot). I had the game done in like 4 hours, too. Not worth $60, but it's definitely worth $20 when it goes on sale in a year.

I don't want to hear from Sony until there is a new Bloodborne. I own a PS 4 and 5. My next console will be a Steam machine.

My plan is to get it on PC when it eventually goes on sale. Regime Regime yes it's that short if you remember what happened your first 3-4 times playing it before and don't go for all the extras. I remember getting it for Xmas from my mother when it came out and she being amazed I beat it so fast. 'the guy at the video store said it was really hard'. Gotta love moms!

My next console is going to be a nothing, because after owning every console since getting back into consoles in 2006/7, multiple PS5s/Series Xs/Switch 2s, with the exception of the Switches, there is no "console experience" any more; its just PC Lite, and why would I want a lesser PC experience? There are no more exclusives, I don't care what the Sony story above says, because all any corp cares about is GREEN. They will all come to the PC after a while, and I am not paying mini PC prices for a box that sits unused for months to play one game on yet again. I happily bought a PS4 to play Destiny, and I bought a 360 to play Live Arcade games and Crackdown. This was in the Before Times when Western Games Studios weren't all ass. Is there a single 2025 game that could conceivable be a console exclusive I would pay today's console prices to play? Wholeheartedly NO.

I won't even indulge in a Steam Machine. I am more likely to build another PC to put Steam OS on than I am invest in another underpowered console, although I am amenable to the argument depending on price and performance etc.
