The two botw games are both ass and it's also extra shitty because botw came out on the wiiu. That's how low the bar is. A wiiu game runs well on the switch 2
I love the copy/paste job they did also,

I thought we would get more out of Mario Kart World. Open World Mario Kart sounds like such a great idea, and they started down the road but just let the premise die on the vine. My son got his money's worth out of his but it didn't keep my daughter's attention, she went right back to Roblox. I got a lot of play out of another round of Tecmo Bowl but thought there would be at least one other game I would have enjoyed. I can't finish my backlog on PC, though, I haven't even started on EU5 or Dispatch.Probably same here, Switch 2 is the first console I've regretted buying since... not even sure when. Maybe ever?
PS4 wasn't very good on year 1 either but it at least felt like it had a point (being top of the line tech). Switch 2 though is just a weak counterpart to PS5 that can be brought on the go, which isn't much of an advantage anymore, and it has basically no games. Mario Kart World isn't as good as the existing Mario Kart 8 (and it's a shutout). DK Bananza is alright but not really my bag at this point in life. Metroid Prime 4 was what I was keeping the system around for and it's turning out to be a big letdown.
I guess it has much-improved versions of the big two Zelda games, which I still need to play, but that's literally the only benefit to having a Switch 2 for me at this point and it ran me like $550.
I played the 1st BOTW game on my PC emulated Wii-U with a PS4 controller in 4k. I thought it was just OK. I didn't even bother with the 2nd one.The two botw games are both ass and it's also extra shitty because botw came out on the wiiu. That's how low the bar is. A wiiu game runs well on the switch 2

The emulator had mod/cheat toggles to remove weapon wear , infinite stamina , and to make it where you could have metal gear during a thunderstorm. I thought the same thing, this is for people that have never played ES games. Hell I was that way for Morrowind, I would name saves 'show xxxx (my brother) the wind/snow/etc.Cool, I thought I was the only one in the world who gets nothing out of the two latest 3D Zeldas. They're visually washed-out, they have these giant empty-looking environments, and I hate the breakable weapons. "Throw bombs at everything" doesn't appeal to me. I just want to play normal Zelda games, not whatever these are.
It's like everything people like these two games for, Elder Scrolls and Elden Ring did better, and I can only conclude that Nintendo fanatics didn't play either of those so they're really impressed with BOTW.
I think I've gone into this before, but I grew up with normal traditional 2D and 3D Zeldas. Now it's like pulling teeth trying to find a new Zelda to play that actually feels normal. Besides BOTW and the sequel, I also have Echoes of Wisdom and Skyward Sword still unplayed. Well, one of those uses motion controls that often suck (I was barely able to get through the first flight section in the Switch version of SS) while the other has you summoning things all the time instead of just fighting normally. I want to swing a sword, not summon tables and chairs. We know Zelda can swing a sword because she had one in Twilight Princess.
Yeah, it seems if I want a normal Zelda I have to go way back in time at this point and replay one of the ones I already played to death in the distant past. I should have appreciated Twilight Princess more (I wasn't that into it compared to the ones before it) since it was basically the last normal Zelda game.
