I think it’s saying if your console doesn’t connect to PSN or Xbox Live for 30 days you get locked out of content you have paid money for, downloaded, and own effective rights to use.

I never dug into it but I had almost all my Xbox Live arcade purchases now lock me out. I had also bought an episode of a TV show (shoot me - was convenient) and it was also locked out with a warning of license issues. I wonder if it’s the same thing but I suspect it’s more heinous. Let’s make you repay each console generation - fuck half the time I forget what I have bought. This is especially interesting with most people ditching physical media on consoles similar to PC. And, if you want to go conspiracy, I think that they don’t like people being able to endlessly replay entertainment. They want to re-sell the same stuff to you over and over again. And it’s more important as timelines get longer and longer between games. That’s probably a stretch. But it’s greed and disrespect for tbt consumer.

I should probably play the few unplayed digital games I have on the PS3, since they're all things I want to play at some point and one of these years they probably won't work anymore for whatever reason. Funny thing is, they're all PS1/PS2 games that were just easier to get on PS3 for like $6 rather than paying 10x that for their actual copies. Dynasty Tactics 2 (obsoletes 1), Mega Man Legends 1+2, Parasite Eve 2, Double Dragon Arcade (the fighter), Armored Core 1, and Xenogears. The last two are replays, at least. None are particularly long (except Xeno which I don't really need to replay) so I could knock them all out in a month if the PS3 ends up with some sort of digital doomsday deadline.

I'm almost done with KCD2, I haven't played the first yet:

It's been a sensational game; one of the most immersive games I've ever played. The black merchant I haven't encountered yet, surprisingly. The gay shit is lame as fuck, and the Jew storyline is eye-roll inducing at times, that being said the pogroms actually happened in the 14th and 15th century Bohemia, so, whatever.

It's a great game, and I'm hyper critical of woke shit, but luckily most of it is you walking around and saying, "Jesus Christ be praised!" over and over again while killing people.
