Your most valuable resource is time, and the six hours you spent playing a game you hate is worth significantly more monetary value than the money you spent on the game itself. Once I started looking at things through that perspective, it really got rid of sunk cost fallacy for me.

With digital and streaming, they have you by the balls. That's why companies have been pushing those things so hard and subverting everything that came before.

Slop levels though the roof because they know people wll consoom.

Nothing's better than holding a game, and getting 90% of your money back if you find yourself totally done with it.

Prices went up. There’s nothing that’s gonna drive ps5 sales out until GTA6. Their first party is inconsistent and sometimes woke slop. It’s still the best 3rd party ecosystem in console land (and maybe overall), but there’s nothing to sell systems until Fall.

Nintendo somehow won the console wars the past few years. I still wish there was a Switch2 HD that was as powerful as a ps5 and that they had a nice to use and fast UI. They’re gonna sell a lot of switches when that ocarina remake lands.

I mean at some point most people who wanted one already have one, and they raised the prices in april iirc so may numbers were always going to look like dogshit. Nintendo's rising their prices in september so their october numbers are also likely going to look not so hot(and Xbox is raising in august iirc, basically everyone is)

The xbox prices are insane. The console already isn't doing well at all and now they want $750 for one. PS5's I think are what, 650? Still crazy for a console, but at least with the PS5 you may actually have some games you'd want to play.

I just can't get into Nintendo shit anymore. $500 bucks for a switch 2 when I know all I'd play is maybe mario kart, whatever main mario game is out, and zelda on it then never turn it on again I just can't justify anymore. Especially when the games themselves are like 80 bucks or whatever they want each and NEVER go on sale.
