coming up on finishing 007 First Light, really enjoying the game for the most part. Levels are fantastic, gun combat is great, melee combat sucks ass. The game complexity though is 1/3'd that of the Hitman series which is a real shame, the levels feel way simpler and emptier/lifeless than hitman levels.

I didn't mind anything at first, until at the end when Saga called someone a "White asshole" and I swore off Remedy for good. (Obviously influenced and support by SBI and approved by Sam Lake, piece of shit)

Wouldn't touch that shit even if it had been published by MS and on Game Pass. Just the existence of the DEI insert was more than enough reason to stay far away.
Not particularly interested in Control 2 either. Maybe if it'd been a continuation of Jesse's story, but with it swapping to her brother instead.. nah, Remedy is a husk now and the odds of it being even just 'decent' are close to zero.

Remedy should remember that Max Payne 3 is canon-- Max Payne is a xenophobic racist asshole according to Rockstar. They made a whole game of him saying resentful remarks about Brazilians as he shot them in the face.
Let's see how they retcon that. Can't wait to see what Remedy has written for confirmed xenophobic racist cop Max Payne.

It's Final Fantasy mixed with Disney shit. I enjoyed it when it first came out for the PS2. Shit, I was 20 when it came out, but I guess I still had a childish brain. I just thought the idea was pretty good at the time. I played 1 and 2 when they first came out. Got my daughter into it as an intro to gaming with the rerelease on PS3, which is what started her interest in Final Fantasy and stuff. I remember her asking who Sepheroth was when she encountered him in the Arena. Good memories.

My biggest issue was it was the same enemy with different sizes. Even in the video for the 4th one, it's still those black blob things.

I mean to me that looks like every other bullshit thing in any comic book where they struggle to write genuine situations that would actually challenge the fictional character. I didn’t watch it with sound on.
I think we’re hyper sensitive to anything involving a woman super hero to be honest, and rightly so…but I would say that shit like Ghost of Yotei was far worse. And I’d say the female side character (the one that joins his cause) in Ghost of Tsushima was equally stupid and unbelievable. Mystique doesn’t bother me. MJ bothers me.

This is closer to my major complaints. More gameplay has looked Spider-ine but without the verticality. But I’m more enthusiastic about a nice linear game than open world slop.
