Eh, that scene would still be retarded no matter who it was that "saved" him. The problem with Mystique specifically is that she got the same kind of uglification that MJ did in Spider-man. Wolverine looks terrible too; people are referring to him as 'Soyverine' for very good reason.

The real issue is Wolverine kneeling for a bunch of minion fodder just because they have guns, to the point where he almost lets them put a collar (presumably power suppression) on him. Even after the fight starts he still just stays on the ground with his hands in the air. You didn't really miss anything watching it without audio either. At least they acknowledged that Wolverine is easily able to identify Mystique by smell, but it was still complete shit writing aside from that.

Yeah, see I actually think everything human insomniac makes looks like total fucking garbage. Even the lauded first Spider-man had some serious issues. It’s MJ was not attractive at all imo.

I think what I see is that mystique is kinda ugly. But Jean they took from old woman jowels to make her not look that bad. Average. I think insomniac human faces are garbage anyway.

And as noted my bigger problem is it’s a dumb situation period.

They were going to collar him first, which suppresses your mutant powers, so it would have been effective, assuming they shot through the eye socket to get to the brain instead of it bouncing off his adamantine-coated skull.

Although I get that the only reason he was being compliant with his hands up in the first place is because he smelled Mystique and knew she was there.

They have looked at the pile of shit Guerilla made for the next Horizon game, a GAAS game, and decided to "pivot" to a coop game instead. And are giving the studio 4 months to make something.

don't give a shit, they turned a great first game - horizon zero dawn - into a boring slog of a second game and then turned the protag into a dumb lesbian with a DLC no one played.

I was bummed out when they announced there were no plans on making a sequel to Days Gone. In retrospect, probably the best decision they made. I can't imagine the atrocities they could create with that story line. At least its one game they haven't destroyed with a sequel.

Thanks! I totally forgot about Days Gone. It beat the shit out of my PS5 but my PC plays it fine and I needed something to play after I tire of Lies of P. Installing it now!
