I think it's budgetary reasons. They've dumped at least 100-150 million into it already and death stranding 2 sold poorly enough it barely broke even. with another 5-6 years of development left on Physint, Sony could expect at LEAST another 200 million down the drain for what could ultimately turn out to be a theater kid art project.

Yeah yeah. Reviews suck. But generally, a bad reviewed game is bad. Relatively speaking, this game is getting dragged relative to the “promises” made.

Apparently you can turn the stuff off he complains about, but it's still the default experience. I knew the game was going to be pretty linear when they said it wasn't going to be open world which why I held off on per-ordering it.

I have open world fatigue. Linear doesn’t bother me. You can make non-boring linear games. Copy-pasta Spiderman isn’t the way. There are ways to adapt that probably.

It's money. Kojima expected a 300m budget. Death Stranding 2 was very well-received compared to DS1 but lacked the sales to justify it.

every single one of their games features ugly lesbians and its just getting worse, i just don't understand how nobody at a high level at Sony hasn't cleaned house. Microsoft has the same problem too but they don't even release games anymore so nobody can tell.

Yet, they won't take a risk on that, yet continue to support bullshit from Bungie with Marathon, failure after failure with anything Naughty Dog touches these days including the upcoming bomb, intergaylactic - Falling sales of hugely popular IP's with force injected DEI like God of War Ragnarok and their next failure in the God of War series coming up, Destruction of the Horizon IP, and massive failure after massive failure in live services games - and the latest failure being Wolverine.

I am 100% certain that funding of the Sony games division is coming from activists to the point where they aren't losing any money because of delta budget coverages to revenue and it's likely some Soros vested group. There really is no other way this makes any sense. They came a little later to the DEI party, but MS is figuring it out and whacking all those losers now.

Fable is going to still suck major donkey ass because Playground games needs a culling. They laid off 268 people so it's a start, and merging them in with Turn 10 but it's too late for Fable unless the delay was to get rid of all the DEI bullshit in the game.

EDIT: Checked. The cheapest round trip ticket is from Oslo to Newark at around 320 dollars. Then taxi/uber to the closest store, buy a new PS5 pro at retail 900. So say 100 for uber to and from a store. Travel across the fucking world and still save 300+ since the PS5 pro has a universal power supply similarly to the PS3.
