I bought one of these at Bestbuy for $40 today. Can they be easily modded like the Nintendo ones?

Not sure, but last I read the emulated PSX games run better on the NES mini than the PSX mini. :|

I still have my original copies of FFVII, VIII, and IX with a still functioning PS2 plugged up via RGB composite in my bedroom. There's no reason I'd get one of these unless they have some killer filtering/speed benefits, in which case I'd just plug my XBOX ONE controller up to my PC and stream to my TV instead of being a pleb.
