Title: Pressure

Genre: Thriller, History, War

Director: Anthony Maras

Cast: Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Chris Messina, Damian Lewis, Con O'Neill, Tamsin Topolski, Henry Ashton, Michael Benz, Wil Coban, Joshua Hill, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Sebastian Orozco, Max Croes

Plot: In the seventy two hours leading up to D-Day, all the pieces are in place except for one key element – the British weather. Britain’s chief meteorological officer James Stagg is called upon to deliver the most consequential forecast in history, locking him into a tense standoff with the entire Allied leadership. The wrong conditions could devastate the largest ever seaborne invasion, while any delay risks German intelligence catching on. With only his trusted aide Captain Kay Summersby to confide in, and haunted by a catastrophic D-Day rehearsal, the final decision rests with Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower. With only hours to go, the fate of the war and the lives of millions hang in the balance.

Saw this today. Enjoyed it. Well paced, interesting story.

Brendan Fraser was heavier than I the Eisenhower I remember but he played the part well. Definitely a more likeable character than G.C.Scott's Patton. Except for Montgomery, I wasn't familiar with the other historical figures. The two main protagonists carried the plot well. I recommend this film.

Great movie.
Looks like it was adapted from a play, which shows through in the intense dialogues between the characters

Finished it this morning. It was ...ok. Brendan Frasier was horribly miscast. For one thing he's way too fat to play Ike (and that's coming from a fat guy) and it's only worse when he's beside Damien Lewis and Moriarty who are real actors and look period appropriate.
I do not regret watching it but won't watch it again.

Don't you know he got awards for playing a fat gay man in a movie by a Jewish director, Nazi bigot!

Yep. Cast correctly, this would have been a much better film.
