Lower Decks had a solution for the Tuvix dilemma: keep merging more and more people until the outcome is no longer sentient. Since it is no longer sentient, there is no ethical dilemma in splitting it apart

Watched the movie. I knew what it was about , knew about the alien and the sun eater and the why and what he did but forgot little bits. Like how he initially got on the ship. Figured it was something changed for the movie. Well today I finished the novel. I could not find it anywhere in my digital library. Not on B&N, Not on Amazon, Not on my NAS, nowhere. I had to 'repurchase' it. I'm realizing that I don't recall most of what it was so how the hell did I know what the movie was all about?! You may think 'who gives a fuck' and that's fair but I'm wondering if this is one more thing the brain tumor took. Freaky.
