Honestly, offline bazaar was one of the best additions to live, ever. Being able to 'list' items is just an infinitely better experience. WoW's auction house got it right here.
EQ is full of folks that are introverts who are sparingly social, but have a blast when they finally interact with each other and talk / communicate. So it's best done in a cooperative, not a bartering or competitive setting.
It's why I still believe strongly that EQ's biggest flaw is that you can't list a group and join it without sending a tell to the leader first. This doesn't mean you have to add a dungeon finder and shortcut the entire experience, but it means that you should facilitate neurodivergent people communicating in a way that is trivial to initiate.
FFXIV got this right with the party finder and letting people 'fill' a group based on the group's need. EQ1 should adopt that.
On Al'Kabor I used to farm Droga to mass produce Forged Deathsteel weapons and price them very cheap on my vendor so new players could get some weapons for near free without my having to interact with them. I may have made some kind of armor too but I forget. It was just very quick to make a lot of Deathsteel I remember that.

Me and 4 RL friends just started on this server. Bazaar has been awesome for getting basic starting gear for 100-150p. Nothing fancy, but just having a decent weapon and something better than cloth makes a huge difference.

This true? Pretty new to the server, so trying to figure out ways to make plat (spells are fucking expensive!).
I don't see a lot of /auc because of bazaar, so it's hard to tell what trade materials are hot and thus good options for a lowbie (25ish) to farm.

They did 4 months ago when i was leveling up. Couldn’t tell ya now. But making plat is incredibly trivial on Quarm. I’ve been on this server for 4 months and I’ve amassed around 80k plat. I play relatively casually too, but i do play a Druid.
By level 30 i was wearing better gear than i was when i dinged 60 in classic.

Yeah people tipping ~40p per port is very common and folks are LAZY. They’ll take a port for anything more than 2 zones lol. Theres a global Ports chat channel and it’s constantly filled with requests.
