Shamefully, I've never played Shadow of the Colossus. Maybe I'll pick that up since it's only 5 bucks. Even more shamefully, I haven't played ICO either. Sadly it does not come together in the digital version.

Might pick up X-men too.

Shadow of the Colossus is really great, worth it for sure. Ico is good but a bit dated now.

Probably grab the Vita games because they're $5, they're not sports games though so even then I hesitate because they'll probably be free via PSN+ at some point

I always found SotC pretty overrated. But I'm in the minority there.

Well I played shadow of the collossus again like a month ago or so since I picked up the HD edition but hadn't played it, and it's definitely great. Mostly I think the atmosphere, the music, the world, the sounds etc made it a great experience. The combat is definitely cool and the scale of the collossus makes it pretty epic but if it was just that it'd be pretty boring I think, for me it was the rest that made the game great. Definitely recommend it.

There is (or was) an ICO/SotC pack that I grabbed on PSN - unless they've since removed it - it should still be there, just not discounted.

I found ICO to still be excellent when I played the HD remaster last year. SotC I just couldn't get through though, the controls were ungodly frustrating.

Don't have plus anymore but I will probably use the free 10 bucks credit from a month or 2 ago and get Alice: Madness Returns. I tried the 60 min trial and it was very good.

I have Alice for PC via Steam but Origin never lets me log into their god-terrible DRM so I haven't played it yet

ICO doesn't play well even with the graphical update. We've come a long way since that concept was introduced.
What concept? The escort quest, the climbing around or the puzzle/exploration? Because 99% of games who tried to make escort quests turned it into controller destroying abominations (no one seemingly noticing that grabbing Yorda's hand is critical forbothgame play and fiction), the climbing is more limited than later games that focus on it (like the XXIst century Prince of Persia serie), but is basically identical to an Uncharted (but maybe you prefer the 'push A to do cool stuff' approach of an Assassin's Creed) and while the puzzles are rudimentary, the level design is absolutely stellar for the way it presents and makes us navigate through the architecture of the castle.

It's got it's artistic moments, but a lot of the gameplay is very rough and the further into the game you get with the shadow fights and the jumping puzzles, the more the game changes from compelling to frustrating. It just doesn't feel as good to me in a world where I've already played Prince of Persia. Maybe that's an unfair comparison, but that's what the game brings to mind and the latter is strictly better to me.

Different strokes I guess because Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is a game I never finished because at some point near the end there is a fight on an elevator with waves upon waves of enemies with limited space and the girl who can and will get killed (a general problem with Sands of Times: at least two waves of enemies too many in each fight). I remember a couple fights against shadows in ICO that are somewhat tense, but nothing of the sort. As for the platforming, I can only remember one area that always bother me (involving a metal water wheel next to the little church), but I am pretty sure that every time I go through that area I realize that my frustration comes from going at the problem the wrong way (I played through ICO four of five times which is absolutely exceptional for me who re-read, re-watch, re-play almost nothing).

Was hoping Ni No Kuni would be part of the summer sale. Still around $55 on PSN (and only $35 on Amazon). Have $12 in PSN credit I need to use up!

I just traded in my 360 for a PS3 a couple weeks ago. So far I've got the Uncharted games, Infamous 1&2, and the current selection from PS+. From this sale I'm eye balling the Ratchet & Clank Collection and maybe Alice: Madness Returns. Any other <=$10 games on the list I should splurge for? I've already played Shadow of the Colossus already and how are the Hitman games? That seems like a pretty good price but I've never actually played one.

While I enjoyed Hitman: Absolution, I unfortunately have no personal experience with the original trilogy (which I got for free from something and is sitting on my Steam account ><). However, I have heard that they are fairly good games if you like stealth and really planning out kills:http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/...trilogy-review

Alice: Madness Returns- I never got around to picking this up, the board liked it quite a bit and it sounds and looks like a fun Action-Platformer.

Batman: Arkham Asylumfor $5 should be pretty self explanatory in awesomeness, but I assume you already have it on PC or something or played it on the X360.

Mortal Kombatat $5 is probably worth it, it's a solid game that has an 85% on Metacritic. If you don't have any Fighting games and want one to play once in a while that'd be good to pick up.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sandsgoes back to The Sands of Time's story (which was a great game) and probably worth picking up at $4 if you like that series or gameplay at all. Likewise, thePrince of Persia Classics Trilogy HD, which includes: The Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones, is a solid buy for $8.

Scott Pilgrimfor $2 is a steal.

The SimpsonsandX-menArcade games are super short nostalgia trips, but probably worth it at $4.89 each.

Lord of the Rings: War in the Northdidn't review great, but if you want a LotR flavored Action-RPG it's probably not a waste of $5.

TheLegogames are often fairly highly reviewed and probably worth it at $5-7.50, especially if you have kids or other family members to play them with.

Hope that helps some.

Alice: MR was good for me. Very dark artwork. Some people didn't like the linearity of the levels and they got tired of the length of the levels (got too repetitive to them i guess).

Prince of Persia trilogy HD has been said to be a very bad port.

Batman: AA very much worth it imo. I like this game, but I don't like the sequel, Batman Arkham City.
