Unfortunately this issue has lead to a delay in the version 5.0 update. We will provide the new date and time soon, and we are currently working on appropriate compensation for this incident.
Looks like maybe no 5.0 on Monday?

Beat Castle of Satan on the second attempt, after figuring out what I was up against, promptly got destroyed on first level of tower of flare. Guess we're farming shit for awhile. Not really sure if I'll bother too much longer, farming food and then farming lits and then farming masks and then repeating for every decent card you have is getting a little old. Add to that the fact that there's no real influx of new and more powerful cards if you're not chewing thru dungeons for magic stones for the rare egg machine. I started during the anniversary run and figured you'd get a magic stone every day, but that's clearly not the case. Pal machine is overall pretty crappy,

Got my titan evolved to a Gigas now, got a Naga at 17 I could probably evolve to an Echidna without too much trouble, but getting that Siren the last 35ish levels to get to Siren the Enchanter seems less fun than punching myself in the nuts every 10 minutes, to say nothing of leveling the green ripper to 5*.

The order of progression after Castle of Satan is not straightforward...

After Castle of Satan you head over and do technicals... Unlock the primary three colors and stay there while you farm up and get a team started... Then proceed to try the Normals after Castle of Satan and the technicals after the first three colors.

Echidna is not really close to as useful as Siren the Enchanter. So I would skip out on Echidna. After a short time you should have the "basics" for a team, after that, you farm the farmables and evolve and level all the stuff you have. If thats not interesting for you, well I dont know what to tell ya.

How often do they have 2x skillup events? I want to max out my Vamp Lord and StE but I'm thinking it would be better to wait if they happen often.

**Special thanks to Velk for switching from HinoKagasutchi to Amaterasu Ohkami so I could finish up a master run on Blue Sky.
Hadn't really thought of it urgently until today, but I could really use those 600rcv Amats to try and farm up a red orb changer from sky dragon expert before it goes away. Been slowly putting together this red team without thinking all the way ahead. Oops.

Suppose I should just try farming up a Titan.

edit: Oh hey I could use that Ripper I just spent all that time evolving up and just bring a STE helper=) DUHHHHH!

Well, that's the thing, what else do you use for the "basics" of a team?

I've got a red starter dragon, think he's evolved twice now, a Gigas, Naga, Siren, 4* green ripper, 3* white ripper, Hades (who honestly isn't worth his cost on my team 99% of the time, and his ability sucks ass), and a Thanatos I haven't bothered leveling up yet. I mean, what do you really do from there? Farm the pal machine for other colored rippers? I don't do too bad running my red starter dragon, Gigas, Siren, Green Ripper and then either the white or Hades most of the time, but I guess I dunno really where to go from here. No technicals up on the weekends? I don't see them on the specials list.

Get through the first couple technical dungeons. You can farm the first green one easily to get Pengdras to level up your Ripper. If you just feed them the other drops from there(2550 exp needed) to get them maxed they are worth 9k EXP each to the same color. If you have the space/patience to hold on to some until you get some low level green metal dragons and a few Dragon Plants(2 drag 1 plant per) you can easily evolve each up to be worth 45k. This is the fastest way to level your stuff up.

Second set of Tech dungeons are blue, 3rd are red. Works the same on all of them.

Hades/Thanatos are kind of a pain because those aren't an option for them(no light/dark Pengdras), but you can feed them off color ones. Plus the dark metal dragns ome around more than other colors.

I'd say for you the focus should probably be getting to the 2nd tech dungeons and getting Siren leveled and evolved. You can get the Blue Divine Mask and Mythlit both from there rarely, and the Keeper of Blue shouldn't be hard with a good @RR helper on Tuesday. Maybe slow but doable so you can get her evolved without too much pain.

So there's a goal. As for grinding, no way around that unless you are spending cash to get a lot of rolls. I'd personally hold on to all stones and pray for something cool when 5.0 finally hits. Some time this week in theory.

No technicals up on the weekends? I don't see them on the specials list.
Should be 3 options now. Normal > Special > Technical(it's green).

Cutlery, I find that the best approach to P&D for me - is to just give myself 1 or two goals. Regardless of how boring those goals are, just grinding the maps to be most efficient. On days you don't feel like playing much, the Hunt! dungeons are really great for spending <30 minutes of time playing the game but netting 3-500k total XP for your minions (luck factors) - and the 500k number is really only something that happens with red/green/blue where you can feed the tiny dragons into the pendras. But - point being to just take it patiently, the other big thing to remember - and hades that you have is a big example. Even if you had 5x5* rippers and StE all done etc etc. Your team cost won't be enough to field them all at once anyways, so you need levels.

On days I feel like playing more, I prioritize ways to level up in the middle of grinding say a technical or for a drop, but always doing what I can to ensure I level when I want to keep playing. On days I just want to do something else besides 2 hours of P&D I just dump stamina into the Hunt! dailies. The more patience you have when nothing interesting is happening in your box (just need feeders to get them to evolve) I think the more you'll enjoy. Especially if you take on Technicals/Dragonplants/Hunt! The daunting xp curve that starts to happen from 50-70 for the 4* curve becomes really quite tame. I had the same feeling around castle of satan and thought that I would never get my box evolved.

The blue water dragon is on for another week, if you can beat the Adept version. I would highly recommend you put everything on hold and farm for marine goblins for your siren to take her orb conversion from 11 to 5. It gives you one goal, its decent xp, and you get some carbuncle feeders to feed as well. Keep in mind the marine goblin feeding is less expensive right after you evolve to level 1 again - so ideally if you could get that Siren to StE it'd be cheaper money wise but I'd recommend not missing out on the adept marine goblins. My rate of stamina/goblin was better than sea cave mercury. I'd average 2-3 goblins/15 sta and the exp was a tad better + you get a 4 set of lil'blues to save up for an all blue ripper team to destroy later red special dungeons.

Finally caught the red sky dragon on expert. Figures it would drop on the last day during double drop rate.

I have seen the red mystic knight a bunch of times during my runs through the red sky dragon dungeon. However, in typical Gung troll fashion he is always the last one standing and is never caught. Argh!

Also have a 5 star blue ripper up for the resist if anyone needs. Only level 1 but it gets the job done.

Finally pulled the trigger on running the master sky dragons during their 2x drop times. Had a nice screaming match with the game when I started the blue dungeon and the game refused me green orbs for a ridiculous amount of time (cost me 2 stones but I figured fuck it I'm getting 1 back anyway). Red was completely and utterly trivialized by my Meteor Dragon and a 778 RCV Ama I have on my friends list (that shit is so overpowered).

Looking forward to hearing more about this compensation for the 5.0 delay. Just the fact that they're saying that makes me think we should all be happy about the delay.

So I just started and am trying to figure out what I should be doing. I picked the blue starter and rolled a Lakshmi as my first god after a few tries.

Do I spend my stones on more pulls or boxes? How should I be leveling my peeps? What should I be trying to get from friends Pokemon?

Save your stones for pulls, box size, as you get further in the game and start filling up with more rare evolution mats and rare cards you want to level up. Just kind of expand your box size as you need. Don't spend stones on continues or stamina refills unless you're dropping rl cash. I can't say on lakshmi the first post has a list.

Lakshmi is an good starter ( and is getting buffed too ! ) and works well with the blue dragon. Long term you want to get a blue mystic knight, a blue champion ( siegfried ), a siren and neptune/viper. Unfortunately the blue knight is pretty rare, and you can only get blue champion from the rare machine or the legendary difficulty two heroes dungeon and neptune/viper are rare machine only - siren at least you can farm up.

For the meantime you probably just want to put whatever blue stuff you run across in your team - lakshmi will soak up most of your team cost for a while anyway so it doesn't matter much. You'll probably want to give blue skydragon adept a go sometime in the next week after you level up some, as it's a good source of 'blue ripper' dragons ( lil' blue dragon ) that can be evolved to be a great team member for a blue team.

I'd use the first 10 stones you get on two more pulls, and then focus on boxes. The blue event is on at the moment so you have a higher than normal chance of getting a blue knight/champ/healer. You could also wait for 5.0, as they will probably do a godfest with a high chance of god mobs sometime after it goes live.

Friend wise you want healers, other lakshmis and idunns mostly.

Btw... just stumbled into Green Sky Expert on my alt account... using a regular Healer/50%Resist and ripper combo to burn through like the others... Even with Resist... Dragon hits for 5200 every 3 turns. Was not expecting that. Squeeked out the win just barely (hp was below 200 twice). So Green has a higher recovery requirement! Be aware!

Master: 15550 Dmg every 3 turns. With 50% reduction requires 2595 healing per turn.
Expert: 10555 Dmg every 3 turns. With 50% reduction requires 1760 healing per turn.
Adept: 3864 Dmg every 3 turns. 1288 healing per turn (no reduction needed)

Not sure if I am going to bother even running the green sky apart from getting a stone for all three. No use for the sky dragons as it is... and the green healer girl is crap compared to mermaid.

Back to levelling up rippers I suppose.

Yeah, if you want to do dps speedruns on expert you'll want to watch that one - pure luck it didn't end in tears for me ( my dps team is usually <10k but had 10600 due to a high level thor helper, heh )
