Most remember him from Hee Haw, but the man was truly a virtuoso on guitar.

Alright! I came here thinking I would post an "RIP Roy" thread and no one would know who I was talking about.

I see my only recalled clip, from the Odd Couple, has already been posted. Good taste, mates! I'm a pickin'...

All the corny TV shit he did makes it easy to forget that he was a legit virtuoso with a guitar or banjo. Didn't expect to see this thread here, good work.

And now all three of those men in the clip are dead..

Yeah, Roy Clark gets a bad rap for Hee Haw (which I watched when i was growing up). But of those three, I'll always be a Jerry Reed guy.

Agree with Reed being better. Roy could hang with the big boys though.

Man, I did not fully appreciate those Hee-Haw broads growing up or how good those musicians on the show were. Roy and Jerry has so much fucking talent it was sickening. They were both natural born entertainers and some of the best pickers to ever live.
