Yeah, the remastered is available on PC, but it's not down to a deep discount enough to warrant buying it. Comes with the zombie version as well.

I bought RDD 1 remaster on Xbox Series X last night. It looks and plays really nice.

RDD 2 is the superior game in almost every way, but I really like the John Marsden character and the tighter controls in RDD 1. RDD 2 went too far with the clunky controls in the search of "realism" and the homicidal reactions of townsfolk if you accidentally step on their toe in the street.

The remaster was definitely worth replaying with the 50% off sale going on. It looks great, it plays great, no bugs so far. It delivers.

Never played the rework, but I'd just go into RD2 as someone that's casually interested in the franchise. Then play RD1 after to see the difference.

In some town, night time, got a mission from sherrif. Went to horse. Accidently pressed b instead of y, punched horse, horse kicks me back. I die. Reload. It's daytime and it's a different part of town. Gawd damnit, I hate the load-save mechism in this game.

Went into sherif, got the mission again after reload from horse kick. Ride. Get stuck in water. Fall of horse. Swim. Shore. Find the snakeoil salesman. Chase him on foot. Find horse. Lasso the fucker. Throw him on horse. Ride in water. Dude drowns. Reload. Do it all again. Riding in town, wife says something titty-something, I look away fromt tv, BAM ride into a carriage with my horse and dude on the back. Pick him up again. Deliver to sherif. I get bronze. Fffffff... At least I can save now. I'm really digging this 80% rebate game. 8.5% complete. I'm so going to 100% this. Cough.
