I
It is one of the /few/ "horror" movies I watch, that and event horizon... maybe a few others that I have forgotten but those are the only few I have seen a handful of times and they are "fun" aka entertaining. and I hate horror movies.
You are dead to me!

I thought there was some noise about Antony Starr from The Boys playing Wesker. Was that just fanfic? I never clicked on anything or looked into it.

To be fair the original Terminator definitely was intended to have horror movie vibes.

Let me elaborate a bit.

A movies job isn't to just entertain. It needs to immerse you into a world, make you feel something...to hijack your emotions, thoughts, make you think. A movies job is to make you think, react. A movies job is make you feel like you're part of something bigger. Not just to be entertaining.

how hard was this to type with a penis in your mouth?

We come to this place for magic. We come to theaters to laugh, to cry, to care. Because we need that. All of us. That indescribable feeling we get when the lights begin to dim, and we go somewhere we've never been before; not just entertained but somehow reborn. Together. Dazzling images on a huge silver screen. Sound that I can feel. Somehow, heartbreak feels good in a place like this. Our heroes feel like the best part of us. And stories feel perfect and powerful because here... They are.

Key points in spoilers

1) The idea is to have it existing in the world around the time of RE2 during the zombie apocalypse, but won't feature any major players from the games
2) Character is meant to be an unknown kid that is thrust into a mission with no combat experience. He will flail with using guns but gets "upgrades" and a better arsenal throughout, just like the games, also growing experience and confidence using them
3) Very few zombies. Only 3 scenes with them in movie but the focus instead is on the larger disturbing creatures. He didn't want a typical zombie film.
4) No Nemesis stalker. But instead interactions with larger gory stuff as two are shown in trailer
5) Herb from RE4 replicated and shown in trailer as an Easter egg. RE4 is his most played and favorite game. More Easter eggs included.
6) He Didn't find RE4 scary but liked the building suspense and scale of RE4. He liked the adventure of it and the journey.
7) Keys and padlock barriers occur often in the film
8) Mostly takes place over one evening but not entirely real-time
9) T-Virus in and impacts how the infected work but didn't specify to avoid spoiling

looks interesting, looks like a movie that has a video game feel to it which I didn't expect. I'm not a big RE guy but even I recognized some of the signatures like the cameras, tape recorders for save points, etc. definitely looks scary. I'm on the fence on whether this feels like resident evil or not.

wildly fast turnaround since this project was just announced late last year.
