Seriously though, I never turn my PC off so when I'm done playing I just turn off the TV and let it sit there on pause, sometimes for weeks. At least 75% of that time is idle time.

Yeah, that seems to be a common trope with EU4 players for some reason. I have something like 8900 hours but I have to imagine close to 2/3 of that is idle time.

Sometimes I have 10 spare minutes between work calls, not enough to do anything meaningful. I just fire up the TV, unpause, play a few minutes, pause, turn off TV.
