Adebisi Adebisi hey, got one for ya

How does it make any sense that Iran has been completely decimated, neutralized, rah rah but nations have to go fight for use of the strait themselves if they want to use it

Why does challenging this on the grounds of basic common sense cause so much censorship to rain down on us? From "our guys"?

I think you might be almost getting the point there
Are you the retard who claimed 600+ American Military casualties within the first week with no evidence? And as Trudeau pointed out, Iran's doing so much winning they're going to get tired of it.

Slanderous. We do our drugs in metric.
I think only high end, or prescription drugs, are in metric in canada, when I buy weed I am buying in imperial because I buy half an ounce at a time. However, I do buy from a First Nations Aboriginal Indigenous Peoples of Canada outlet so that might be why. When I was a tool and die maker everything in shop was imperial, the founders were English and Scottish, and we often had to use a customer supplied drawings and do the conversions ourselves, if you were hungover or still drunk that day? Mistakes were made.

At least most machinists are smart enough to use decimals instead of fractions unlike carpenters and mechanics that have to figure out what is between ¾ and ⅞. It probably does make us better at doing math in our heads though.

I thought someone might call me out on weed as I'm pretty sure it is still sold by the ounce in the US. I thought the joke was funnier without any caveat.

On a serious note, I think every country has adopted metric these days so it is just a spectrum of level of adoption now. The US and Canada both adopted the Treaty of the Metre. US in 1875, Canada later but I assumed the French connection would have them more eager to convert. A lot has happened in both countries to muddy the process of metrication however, the Imperial units are tied to the SI in both countries via their base units for quite some time. When the SI changes, Imperial changes.

There were formal lessons on SI in science classes but they did not teach us any of the road to actual standardization that has happened over the years. Canada has the most recent history of digging in on Imperial. I grew up carrying tools in both systems and hearing some old timers criticize metric for very odd reasons, usually the moment they found out they were holding the wrong one. I think the funniest was a car guy rant that ultimately equated metric with poorly manufactured things from China.
