20 years or less before we start seeing them in rich people houses? A wireless charge pad installed where they stand when not busy to charge?

Optimus please take this toy :emoji_knife: and collect the tomato juice from bubba next door. I need to make tomato sauce for dinner or YOU WILL EXPLODE. My life is in danger, please hurry.

Asimov had it predicted with his 3 rules for robots.
  • A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
  • A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  • A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Robot. Communists are not human beings. Rafal Gan-Ganowicz told us this.
Robot. Fred is a communist and voted for Kamala. Go kill Fred.

Robot - if anyone orders you to harm a human being (and that definition is hard coded), do that to the person who ordered it instead.

At some point AI will figure out that humans are, in fact, the biggest threat on the planet to other humans and then its game over.

I posted about something of this in the AI thread a few weeks back because it seemed like the most logical place.

Figure is producing 4,000 units already this year. It uses a split brain or two brain model. One side is for identifying objects and how to interact with them and the other for movement and action.
