Yup, and I can't speak for other vendors, but HP uses an "SSD Wear Gauge" to determine whether the drive should be replaced and whether it's covered under warranty. The Enterprise/SLC drives "wear gauge" moves a lot slower, hence have a longer "usable life", but I would bet my money that HP tweaks the wear gauge to push you to buy the more expensive drives.And according to a 6 year study by Google of millions of drives, enterprise/SLC drives are no more reliable than MLC drives

So it fits in 2.5" storage units with other SSDs?Crazy thing is this is a 2.5", it's the laptop size. Thick as it is, there's no way to cram this inside a laptop, so why that format instead of 3.5"?
I still remember begging my parents to get me 256k of expansion memory for my Tandy computer as a kid in the mid 80s. Shit was like $300, but i needed to upgrade my pc from 256k of RAM to 512k in order to pay the newest Kings Quest game(cant remember if it was 3 or 4). Stupid Radio Shack.
