Server grade SSD's are still ridiculously overpriced. I just bought a bunch of 240GB HP ProLiant SSD's and they're $750 a pop, and that's the "value endurance" line, not even enterprise or performance grade.

And according to a 6 year study by Google of millions of drives, enterprise/SLC drives are no more reliable than MLC drives

Yup, and I can't speak for other vendors, but HP uses an "SSD Wear Gauge" to determine whether the drive should be replaced and whether it's covered under warranty. The Enterprise/SLC drives "wear gauge" moves a lot slower, hence have a longer "usable life", but I would bet my money that HP tweaks the wear gauge to push you to buy the more expensive drives.

Crazy thing is this is a 2.5", it's the laptop size. Thick as it is, there's no way to cram this inside a laptop, so why that format instead of 3.5"?

I still remember begging my parents to get me 256k of expansion memory for my Tandy computer as a kid in the mid 80s. Shit was like $300, but i needed to upgrade my pc from 256k of RAM to 512k in order to pay the newest Kings Quest game(cant remember if it was 3 or 4). Stupid Radio Shack.

Pretty sure the turbo button was to slow it down so that games made for older computers worked right, not a turbo button to make it faster.

My turbo made my computer go from 2mhz to 4mhz. This was I am confident in saying, not used for older games.
