I was thinking nano bots would turn them into grey goo in the helicopter (wouldn't make sense to sacrifice the pilot and helicopter). Alternatively, they can just mind wipe them since that's now a thing in this show.

And yeah, the elevator was hilarious. "OH MY GOD, THEY BUILT A THING!" "Building this type of thing would surely get you sent out to clean." Cue next scene them riding an elevator. Uh, okay.

You bring up a good point though, and that's been happening several times this season, where they'll mention something and my wife and I both look at each other and ask "are we supposed to know what that is?" It's like some obscure thing/person mentioned once 2 seasons ago and we're supposed to remember it all. It makes everything fall flat.

“To be honest, AI wrote it, we just did some editing” went pretty hard. I guess some things never change.

6 episodes of slow paced garbage but at least its starting to pick up... with 1 episode left this season LOL

that whole rebel plan though was so bizarre, it feels like they coulda done it anytime and didn't need a distraction really. i assume they blew up the water tanks so no more forget-water, but did they ever cap the poison pipe?

i don't get at all why they want to keep the congressman and his reporter wife separated, does the old senator want to fuck him or something lol. its so bizarre they changed the story (from the books) to have him completely uninvolved in designing the silo, that seemed like such a better angle for that character.

I think this is another example of a scifi show with writers not up to the task of telling a story that makes logical sense for the world they've created. They choose big drama, striking visuals, or hand waving details instead of really nailing down how everything works and how people behave.

I haven't read the books but if a lot of it is like the show, I'm guessing there's a lot of logistics of the entire plan and silos that never really gets answered in a clear way. Memory wiping the silo alone just has so many issues if you start thinking about it.

I'm pretty sure they where going after the pipe not the water, I could be wrong though. Maybe it was both

they probably keep the wife and senator separated cause ai told em so, cause togheter they would be disruptive to the silo, while probably the senator with engineer background is vital or somewhat to the future plans...cant kill the wife cause he wouldnt cooperate, so u put her on a silo and tell him once shit settle we going to get her meanwhile u do shits for us, and help the people on silos.... or someshit like that.

For the pipe the whole premises was for people to forget so ai wouldnt be forced to use the gas, so it would make zero sense to go for the water first with gas pipe active...unless they go the route ohhh the "talking screen magic" is bluffing etc...which i find retarded.. but u know writers....
