Isn't that sort of the premise of that Lovecraft Country TV show that was on HBO or something? It's some powerful black people fighting the clan and Cthulhu or something retarded. I never watched it and I never will, but I kind of remember some of you guys talking about but that sort of being the premise.

I haven't seen it, but reading about it it seems like it was more on the nose racism in that from anyone white. This was more "Well they are KKK so they are obviously over the top racist and its fun to watch them die" like Inglorious Bastards.

It took an hour before it got interesting. Not horrible but would have much rather had the introduction / exposition laid out a little differently and not as long. It established Smoke and Stack but also went way into stuff I didn't care about.
Was good but doesn't come close to being Amazing or an 8.2 IMDB. It is saved when the action kicks off and vampire stuff starts happening.

Do we really need catharsis for smaller scale things that happened 100ish years ago? Hitler was one of the largest historical figures in WW2, which was one of the largest events in human history; did anyone really think of "Inglorious Bastards" as needed cartharsis? It's really just revenge porn. People don't seem to have the same opinion about "Sinners", thankfully because that would be a shame: Down that road lies the Balkans or or the Middle East.

I watched this last night and comparing it in any way to Inglorious Bastards is laughable. There's a ten second gun fight with klan members, the rest is vampire shit.
7/10 remake of From Dusk til Dawn, movie was most interesting in the first half.

I'll probably check it out when it comes to streaming eventually, but like I had posted many moons ago, I'm probably not their target audience.
I mean if it's a creative movie that's actually entertaining, I'm totally down with it, but I don't imagine that'll be the case.

Like that stupid goddamn Jordan Peele movie, his first horror film and then suddenly he became a master of horror or something stupid. That was such a shitty movie. I'll even remember what the hell it was called because my white Germanic white brain expunged most of the details from my memory as a defensive mechanism.

its a good movie, it does have a few "we black, white people fucked us" moments but mostly its just living in their stories and lives with vampires layered on top of it. It never gets super preachy and there are no gays or trannies which is like a miracle in 2025
the funniest subtle thing in the movie to me is how every sex scene (no nudity) opens with a man wanting to eat pussy, which i didn't really catch but apparently read later that black men generally don't eat pussy so the director is trying to push that as an agenda LOL

Thats actually due to the rise of intimacy coordinators on sets post Weinstein and changing attitudes in the zoomer generation. Men going down on women is very common with zoomers now. This wasnt an agenda thing, nearly every sex scene in a film or show has it.
