Love me some Wu-tang, but the RZA has been f'n terrible at movies for literally over a decade. The Man with the Iron Fists is one of the worst movies ever made, and he thought it was a signal to make more films.
Haven't seen Sinners - been hearing a lot of apologists for it though in its depiction of the white man being evil. Sad times.

This was okay, but definitely over-hyped. Some classic tropes from horror movies like the "appears behind you at the right moment!" type of shit. Not sure if that was a knowing nod or just bad.
Referring to himself as a Soldier and indicating he fought in WW2 in Germany, but outside of about 3 lines never going into it more I think was a mistake.
Not sure if it's because I'm white or rich or Irish, but man did I did the Irish folk songs about 15x more than the Blues song.
Overall decent vampire movie, probably 8/10, definitely not the 10/10 people are jerking off about.

I really liked some parts of the movie, pretty much anything having to do with Remmick (the main vampire guy).
Firstly, I really like the actor, he's a badass in SAS: Rogue Heroes, and did a great job in this. I hungered for more about his backstory, I could seriously watch a whole prequel that's just his origin and life before turning and then the events surrounding his rebirth.
I was rooting for him the whole time, which was probably not intended by the filmmakers, but his stuff was infinitely more compelling than the blues and they uhhh really didn't do a good job of showing why being a vampire was bad? it seemed like a pretty good deal with fairly noble intentions....
