First game, got to third boss, and had a good time. He didn't kill me, mind you, no I robbed him of that glory. I had 1hp left, he was going to hit me for 25, nothing I could do but play my pen nibbed card that did damage and took 1hp from me. Gave him a good slap on the way out.

If you liked the first one, you'll like this one.

Massive hit, people want more. So they delivered, and not surprising to anyone, it's a massive hit again.

Good thing they didn't do a Darkest Dungeon 2 and changed the entire core of the original system that people liked and wanted more of because reasons.

I find Defect so hard to get working right. The Silent has definitely been the most consistent for me. I had a really good exhaust setup with Necrobinder going, but my buddies retard build cost us the win.

I never played the first one. I might have to give this a try.
Unless you are playing with friends just get the first one. It’s really good and actually a full game. Probably a lot cheaper too.

Incredibly impressed so far with this. Only played with 3 people at once so far though and solo but fuck mp is set up so damn good. And once we get more unlocks you can see some serious synergies coming. Loving the necro chick. Not sold on the other new char yet but will have to play with him more.

I actually just had an insane IC run that didn't rely on barricade, exhaust, or demon form. Got the power cards that give you block and str every time you damage yourself and the rest was history. But yeah, IC can be trickier then silent to get going.

Ive already sunk more than 20 hours into this game. There is nothing better on the market if you like roguelikes and deckbuilders, and this is still in early access.

Co-op is seamless and has a ton of fun & powerful interactions.

Incredible amount of fun for the $.

IC is much easier if you don't try to make bad cards like barricade and demon form work.

Well I won on one character for the first game. Went ahead and bought that one since 75% off is good. I see the appeal. It has luck but you can get going really well with the right deck builds.

This will be a fun game to play until next Thursday the 19th..

solid run with necrobinder. souls.

built off grave warden, and death march first. and capture spirit, and dirge second. Dirge is solid, esp + form. even early. as "wasting" turn one,. to get 3 or 4 souls, and buff osty with 12 or 16 hp is solid.
wish I had 2 grave wardens.

friendships energy is ok. didnt really build on it. All the 0 energy cards are solid adds. basically just add into the infinite cycle free damage.
lethality is ok. cheap/nice damage buff for first hit. great for death march, but mostly just wasted on pokes.
reaper form is rough. expensive, but sped up many fights. adds into poke well. getting that Jeweled mask was huge for it. making free and innate was powerful.
demesne. came late in act 3. stupid good.esp + version which is only 2 enery.

turn 1powers and generate souls. turn two, use souls in near infinite combo, to buff death march to 60-200+ damage. turn 3 repeat..
biggest issue was running out of hand size. strikes/defends, that drain power. unleash all dead weight.
so even at the end 4 cards were dead weight. +1 dirge, +1capture spirit, +1 death march, +grave warden. no active energy generation to clear those 1 energy cards out, for more draw.
need to hold 1 energy per turn for death march finish.

I just finished a solid doom run. Power card for doom per turn. Guard card that gives 2 extra blocks when you apply doom so 21+ block per card. Then Doom card that gives 10 doom and 5 more doom per every 10 doom on enemy gets you to 300 doom on bosses very fast.
