it even has a demo.

Solasta 2 is punching way above their budget. copying a lot of bg3 stuff at a tenth the budget.

game awards trailer was cast reveal. and early access date.

I played the demo months ago and it's a huge upgrade to the original.

The first game was extremely sound mechanically, but it had a lot of jank. Namely the voice acting, weak narrative, and the character models were ass, but what they did with the budget they had was nothing short of amazing.

It's the closest any PC game has gotten to doing D&D 5e correctly. There are dozens of fan-made campaigns that are as good/better than the original and its DLC.

Yep I slogged through the original since it was kinda boring and the characters were atrocious.

Don't mind supporting the devs though and this looks a lot better.

I was super interested but then I saw they are doing early access by chapter and max level 4… going to wait until release.

in the meantime now that BG3 is finished I loaded it up for the second time, plan to do a playthrough with the other characters this time.

I have the base game with no DLC of the first one. Kinda irked me that a number of classes were part of a DLC. Those are on sale now too. I thought about picking them up but at this point may just wait for the second to be released.
