Not related to the Breaking Bad character. This is a hungarian art house film about a member of the Sonderkommandos in Auschwitz (prisoners being cogs in the death machine) trying to get a child a proper funeral. It just got released in the US.

For most of the film, the camera is glued to the protagonist with a very short depth of field, so it feels like a dive into chaos and madness. The language barriers (the hungarian main character speaks 3 words of german, 5 of russian and 4 of yiddish so communications are a struggle), the conspiracies and a dense soundscape reinforce the confusion. It give it all an air of end of times, a place where civilization is at the edge of a cliff and about to tip over.

A powerful and singular movie even if not flawless.
