No because this was a duplicate thread and the other thread had the TMDB info on it. When I merged the threads, the other one vanished into the ether but the extension still thinks it exists.

Amazon announced this week that Spaceballs 2 will be released in theaters April 23, 2027.

dunno, i'm trying to watch the History of the World TV show (2024) which is i think from these same people and its not good. Episode 1 is garbage junk, episode 2 is a little better I guess.

This would have been awesome. Way better than "the new one" which is...lame and uncreative. Just have it be "Spaceballs 3: The Search For More Money" and have them never reference where the second one went until the movie drops and the movie itself references it. Then if it's a success they could follow it up with "Spaceballs 4: The Search for Spaceballs 2" to finish the "trilogy". There would never be a Spaceballs 2.

I don't know who Josh Gad is but I have the same visceral physical revulsion to seeing him that I had to seeing Jared Fogle back when he was just the Subway guy.

$1000 says he turns out to be a horrible creep within the next 5-10 years

Yeah… I wish they did just make it what they said.

I dont mind “the new one” because its not spaceballs 2 the new one - the joke of the title is following the humor and they at least addressed it, up till the reveal they never mentioned it… well, I guess thats part of the joke.

Is rick morranis okay? He was like super odd at that cast interview video.
