Spotify should allow you to make a list of songs which were the most played during a set period of any year. I can get a top 100 for every year back to 2018, but not a specific week to week or day to day comparison of what was being played.

Agreed. Extend this to artists as well. For example, Give me their most played for the year excluding December, because top tracks for that artist could vary significantly when you exclude lead up to Christmas.
Trying to search this when it actually is December is a shit show, just have wait for it to naturally course correct.
